Trump has "every opportunity to present his case" on impeachment, Pelosi says

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuted Republicans' claims that President Trump has not had the opportunity for due process in the impeachment inquiry, saying that the president has "every opportunity to present his case."

"The president could come right before the committee and talk, speak all the truth that he wants if he wants," Pelosi said in an exclusive interview with "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan that aired Sunday. "He has every opportunity to present his case."

Pelosi also said that she believed the president's actions were worse than those of former President Richard Nixon.

Transcript: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on "Face the Nation" "But it's really a sad thing. I mean, what the president did was so much worse than even what Richard Nixon did, that at some point Richard Nixon cared about the country enough to recognize that this could not continue," Pelosi said. Mr. Nixon resigned before the House could vote on impeachment.

President Trump isn’t obligated to prove his innocence. Democrats have the burden of proving him guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

So far they haven’t met that burden. Nancy Pelosi has it exactly backwards.

How awesome would it be for him to walk in there with a mountain of evidence of their money laundering operation?

Then they are guilty of witness intimidation.

She’s using the botox to freeze the muscles of her face so she looks younger-not for migranes-she’s been using it for years-that is why she always looks like a frozen zombie. I would guess that having as much of that organic toxin injected into her face often enough to freeze her expression is enough to make botox start seeping into her brain...

I may be in the minority when I think if this impeachment continues on the same path of Dems calling non witness witnesses who are not able to sell the narrative to the public who has given up watching their borefest that Trump ‘s looking into the matter of potential foreign/domestic corruptio, which is within his purview to end corruption as the President, and coincidentally, should the corruption be proven, might also benefit himself politically, Dems will pull the plug and and not let it go to a vote. They would do this to deny the Senate with its Republican majority the ability to wrest Dems tight control over the political narrative from them and call witnesses to make this a narrative about corruption and the Bidens, and not about Trump’s motivations which will force the Dems and allied MSM to publicly defend the optics of one of their leaders knee deep in using his Vice Presidential position to influence foreign countries to pay off his never do well drug addled unqualified son, Fredo Biden, through loans from an enemy country and board director positions. This is not about the law. It is about partisan politics, and the Dem and the MSM defense that it was all legal will not fly politically.

Presenting one’s case BEGINS with DISCOVERY; wherein POTUS’ team gets to interview ANYONE THEY DESIRE!

Okay... What case? There is nothing to defend.
  1. "Whistleblower" did not know anything first hand and is now hiding and presumably is not helping out the leakers he is reporting from.
  2. William Taylor did not know anything first hand and says nothing wrong except change in policy.
  3. George Kent did not know anything first hand and says nothing wrong except change in policy.
  4. Marie Yovanovitch is only upset she was fired even though she admits that was the president's choice and, further, she knows of no crime he committed, no quid pro quo, and no bribery.

THERE IS NO CASE! This coming week the House should end their impeachment inquiry. It is over.

In what universe has Donald Trump had opportunity to present his side of the story? The major media will not listen to what he has so far presented, without applying their own bias, or even simply ignoring some very plain language as displayed in the transcript.

To challenge or destroy the narrative is forbidden, but even with this stricture on the reality of the situation, the narrative, once again, is full of unseemly gaps and cracks, and like the Russian collusion story, collapses of its own weight. “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” appears to be a difficult thing to define, much less to prove to have taken place, and neither “Treason” nor “Bribery” has any degree of traction.

No foul, no harm. But to try to CREATE the impression of a foul, that could led to great harm. Take care what can of worms gets opened up. Getting them back in the can would tax the strength and ingenuity of the mythical Hercules.

HEY DONALD! Get up in your rallies and tell the American people the truth on Pelousy. How her and her family got started by mob money while ruining Baltimore. How her Ol MAN was a mobster while he ran Baltimore.

How she has diverted money from federal funds for San Fran into her private accounts.

Quit being so nice for Gods Sake!

Ah yes, the old “prove your innocence” strategy that the Dems love to deploy.

“His” case? He’s innocent; he doesn’t have to prove it. The burden is on her schiffhole. All that facial surgery has shrunk her brain, which wasn’t so big to begin with.

Amen, bro. Time to take the gloves off.

He should also explain how Biden used financial aid to Ukraine as a way to divert money into demonicRAT coffers. Unless we're supposed to believe that Hunter was allowed to keep the booty. But enough about him and his dead brother's wife.

Respond to what?

What are the charges/articles of impeachment?

what the president did was so much worse than even what Richard Nixon did,
She keeps repeating that same line. Which is what exactly?

Does she know how few people even know who Richard Nixon was/is, let alone what he did?
