About two weeks ago Barr gave a speech at Notre Dame at a renowned Law Center. His language was so lofty and inspiring, I nearly swooned. Since then I’ve seen several things which seem to say Barr doesn’t ACTUALLY give a damn. The fiddling with, and watering down of the IG Report being Exhibit-A. As a result, I shall not waste the time to either view the video or listen to the audio. Enough with words. Where’s the action? I

Barr is nothing but an empty blowhard if he doesn’t start at some point to enforce the damned law he so claims to revere.

There the President made a decision under an explicit legislative grant of authority...”

The President FAILED to dismiss the courts power grab out of hand and so HE gave the court the power that the law does not. That’s the way it works.

If for nothing else, the speech provides sound insight into how the constitutional framework is supposed to work.

The public by and large is ingorant of all that. Most people who think they understand, don’t.

I think he nails it with his remarks on the moral and philosophical failure of the left. He is essentially saying the government is not following the constituion, and this failure is not in “small ways,” but fundamental ones.

No doubt these pussies would be scared of a big posse. One big reason they want to disarm American citizens.

Roger that. But all we’re getting is words. No action. To quote Eliza Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY: “Words! Words! Words! I’m so sick of words! I get words all day through;
First from him, now from you! Is that all you blighters can do?” Come on, Barr! Come on, Durham! Let’s see some ACTION!

Thank you for the link to the text of the lecture.

Our modern government is in violation of all of the principles of the constitution. For example, the president’s political platform is primarily “what laws he will pass.” WTF?! That is a Congressional function!!

And yet few remark on this. Budget — set by executive. Plenty of laws start in the WH and its associated lobbyists, with that fact obscured by having some congressman drop the WH proposal into the hopper. See GWB’s Military Tribunal.

With regard to what Trump’s election has triggered, “What it means is that, instead of viewing themselves as the “loyal opposition,” as opposing parties have done in the past, they essentially see themselves as engaged in a war to cripple, by any means necessary, a duly elected government.”

Just so. The government is in open rebellion against the constitution and against the people. And that issue is piled on thop of the government having usurped powers not given to it under the constitution.

I view Barr’s lecture as academic. The republic is dead, long live the republic.

-- But all we're getting is words. No action. --

There will be some action. The players in the government know they need to find a few fall guys, or else the public will do more than complain.

I don't expect the action will be more than a band-aid. Historically, every time the government gets caught in violation, the remedy enables even bigger violations and even more cover for malfeasance.

Every "this will never happen again" happens again, bigger and bigger.

Rome didn't fall in a day.

Rome lasted 500 years, we will be lucky to make half of that, and 300 years is out of the question.

This is akinto a “scolding”. The same as the IG report will be.
Trump loyalists go to jail while:
Obama buys multi million $ houses; Hillary preps another run at Prez; McCabe does TV; Comey and Brennan continue the coup unabated.

Deep State wins.

The Courts run the USA like a dictatorship and noone seems to have the guts to make the USA a constitutional republic again.

i.e. Prop 187 in California...citizens voted that illegals could not have”free sh*t”. Court overturned the will of the People, and the illegals flooded in, turning Calif deep blue.

Dittos for the Courts and Trump...why should the Courts have a say in whether or not Trump can change Obama’s Executive Orders? Especially his illegal ones. Courts need to be told to butt out. But noone seems to have the guts to do so. Too many fake judges is the problem. Judges want to legislate, they need run for Congress.

Locally, no need to go to Mexico, to go to Mexico.

The Courts run the USA like a dictatorship and noone seems to have the guts to make the USA a constitutional republic again.

That is the way the Mediacracy wants it, controls power, and condones it.

If the Media (which, for 30 years, had near total control over the public discourse) focused outrage on the unconstituional actions of the courts, as they have promoted unconstitutional infringement on the Second Amendment, we would not have that problem.

The Mass Media, after WWII, became an ideologically uniform power. The ideology is Progressivism which is without God or morality, worshiping power for power's sake.

Technological and regulatory innovations have been eating into that power for 20 years.

President Trump is the result.

Barr was on a special legal team put together in 2017.

Trump put him AG to finish the deal.
