There will be some action. The players in the government know they need to find a few fall guys, or else the public will do more than complain.
I don't expect the action will be more than a band-aid. Historically, every time the government gets caught in violation, the remedy enables even bigger violations and even more cover for malfeasance.
Every "this will never happen again" happens again, bigger and bigger.
