Our first phone in the 60’s was a party line, about 1964 I think. To think that you could survive without phone is unthinkable today.

I inherited a cabin and some property in a rural area. It has:

- No phone
- No internet
- No cable TV
- I think 2 over-the-air TV channels (post-digital)

I like it just fine. Great place to go and unplug. It has electricity, well and septic. I do get cell signal there for emergencies. The local AM radio station dumped Rush though and went back to playing country music.
