McDonalds chief executive left the company after violating company policy by engaging in a consensual relationship with an employee, the corporation said Sunday.
The fast food giant said former president and CEO Steve Easterbrook demonstrated poor judgment. McDonalds forbids managers from having romantic relationships with direct or indirect reports.
In an e-mail to employees, Easterbrook acknowledged he had a relationship with an employee and said it was a mistake.
Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on, Easterbrook said in the e-mail.

This stuff happens all the time.
It doesnt make it right. But it does.
Personally, I think they were looking for a reason. And this certainly is a good one.

Kinda doubting he’ll be homeless in a week or two.

In other words hes not going to stop the relationship.
No doubt. With his investment account, he can just walk away from the game with a smile.
Hopefully his replacement will address the issue of the way their employees treat customers.

I’m not sure why, because they were discussing this on FBN today, and this guy really turned the company around resulting in kick-ass profits.
Why know? Still, in any organization, a superior with authority over an employee, it’s usually against policy. A CEO has authority over everybody.
Did she ask him if he wanted fries with that?
