The China factory was a major accomplishment for Tesla. It’s huge and was producing test cars in ten months. China has the largest car market in the world.
Soon, they’ll be building another one in Europe.
If the corrupt politicians in California continue to harass Tesla, they could build a replacement factory in another state in a short period of time.
Tesla’s (would-be?) competitor Nio (I think that’s the name) is getting shredded. Being here in the big mitten (just in time for winter) the Cali market is something I don’t see firsthand, but that’s where the EV sales seem to be targeted. Watched a vid yesterday:
