These Republicans are pushing Murkowski to take a stand against Trump
Alaska Public Media ^ | October 8, 2019 | Liz Ruskin

A national group called Republicans for the Rule of Law is running ads aimed at moving Sen. Lisa Murkowski off the sidelines. They want her to criticize President Trump for asking Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden. But both of Alaska’s senators have said they see shades of grey in the Ukraine picture.

This ad is showing up in Alaskans’ Facebook feeds. It’s focused, of course, on that call this summer, when Trump leaned on the Ukrainian president for an investigation of the Bidens.

“We think she will be receptive to the message,” said Chris Truax, a San Diego attorney who volunteers for the anti-Trump group. And yes, he said, they really are Republicans. One of their founders is former Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol.

Murkowski brings to mind the Creedence song "Fortunate Son" - "I ain't no senator's son, I ain't no fortunate one"

She IS a "fortunate one", an example of how the elites rule over us. She was appointed to the U.S. Senate by her father when he resigned his Senate seat to become the Governor.

She has never won a majority of votes cast in her senate races, and she actually lost the GOP Senate nomination in 2010 - so she ran as a write-in with establishment backing.

If she votes to oust Trump, it will be another example of her fronting for the permanent establishment and the deep state over the voters.

This is the ever-shrinking group of losers who have been engaged in a public temper tantrum for the last three years because they are propagandists for the big-government globalists whose grip on the Republican Party diminished considerably when Donald J. Trump was nominated and then had the audacity to actually win the 2016 election.

The fact that they're leaning on one of the dumbest Republicans in Washington tells you all you need to know about this.

I always laugh when I see a description like "former Weekly Standard editor" applied to Bill Kristol. They make it sound like he left his job and moved on to better things, when the truth is that the Weekly Standard went out of business. LOL.

I wonder what the President's approval rate is in Alaska. I'll bet it's better than 50%...much better,in fact.

Any GOP senator who votes to convict the President will be primaried and tossed out of office.

We’re loaded for bear and they’re on notice.

They “really are Republicans” that are funded by far-left Democrat donors. These people like Kristol revealed the entire thing was always just a business to them - not about trying implement the policies they supposedly supported.

Looks like another group needs to start funding ads to Alaskans not necessarily “targeting Murkowski” but the farce of the impeachment itself and how the predicate is entirely a lie to combat this misinformation campaign to make it more politically untenable.

Murkowski herself isn’t going to be receptive to the threat of a primary challenge as she was able to win without even being on the ballot after losing the primary before and running as a write-in. She knows she can win without conservatives and without the Republican Party itself being with her.

I checked out their website and I found something interesting:

Usually a group like this has a link on their website to a page that lists the organization's leaders and allows the viewer to see their biographies. These people are usually shown as a "Board of Directors" or something similar.

The website for the Republicans for the Rule of Law simply has a list of ten "Legal Advisors" -- most of whom I don't even recognize.

To me, this looks like it is basically a fund-raising scam for a bunch of lawyers who would unemployable anywhere outside the Beltway. I'm genuinely surprised that Mr. Kellyanne Conway isn't among them.

I remember that. Could not believe the audacity she showed by running against her own party just to keep her Senate seat. Talk about sore loser. She defied the will of the people and helped defeat a much better GOP candidate than herself.

Pride

These people are crazy! Do they really think we would have been better off with Hillary? While it’s easy to be angry with them, at least there are not very may. If I were them, I’d keep my mouth shut. They’re making themselves irrelevant. Losers!

But both of Alaska’s senators have said they see shades of grey in the Ukraine picture.

It gets dark early in Alaska this time of year.

The reason they’re pushing her is because they see weakness in her and WANT HER SEAT (or support people who do want her Senate seat).

They know if they can get her to turn against Trump, her political career is FINISHED, particularly in a state like Alaska. She’s up for re-election in 2022.

While I’m certainly no fan of hers (particularly after Kavenaugh), I am a fan of Trump (of course), so it would be best for her to see that the long knives are really aimed at her - and that she needs to hold tight if she wants to stay in office.

And, again, I’m no fan of her, but if she does do the right thing, it means that the Democrats DO NOT get their first Republican joining them in this coup against Trump.

Kristol knowingly slandered Michael Flynn in his magazine. See Lee Smith’s book for details. He’s a snake.
