I’m not criticizing your post (in fact it was quite clever) but I just want to point out that my reference was to a real regime that murdered a minimum of 20 million of its own people, your reference is to a fantasy piece of literature designed to show (among other things) how irrational the dream-state is.
I think my reference is closer to what’s really happening. If Shifty and his dumborat pals thought they could get away with it, they would start shooting people in the basement of the Capitol Building in the same way Beria and his minions shot people in the basement of the Lubyanka.
