Two U.S. fighter jets launched airstrikes Wednesday to destroy ammunition that was left behind when American forces left a cement factory south of Kobani, Syria. The factory had served as a coordination center for the U.S.-led coalition and Kurdish forces in the fight against the Islamic State group. U.S. Army Col. Myles Caggins, a spokesman for the coalition, says the F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet strikes were pre-planned and destroyed ammunition stored at the Lafarge Cement Factory. He says all coalition personnel and "essential tactical equipment" had left the base before the strike. Most of the 1,000 U.S. forces in Syria are being withdrawn over the coming days and weeks because of the Turkish invasion into northern Syria and the attack on Kurdish forces.

They don’t even need to look Middle Eastern. See the KY live fire video. The MSM cropped out the people videoing the exercise with their iPhones.

It was on purpose, why recycle when you can buy new with someone else’s money. He killed two birds with one stone, armed those who should not have been armed to fit his agnda, and made some bucks off selling our military more replacement equipment. McCain and Graham was in on that you can bet on it.

It is part of the plan - no telling how many weapons intended for Kurds ended up in ISIS and other enemy hands - much was blamed on “bad winds”.

Probably only if Congress can figure out a way to justify why we need to be there in the first place. So far, they’re coming up empty.

My exact initial thoughts. The “bug-out” order must have been quite strong in it’s delivery.

Something like, “Get the hell out .... NOW!!!”

“n such haste that they didn’t have time to set a few demolition charges? Wow! That’s some bug-out.”

Bombing the deserted headquarters probably had more to do with killing the people who were there snooping around looking for intelligence and weapons.

War, Inc. needs to be put out of business.

Seems reasonable you would leave munitions for the kurds....then destroy them when they free isis guys as they would have anyway. Then they accept a cease fire since their stockpile is gone.

That had not occurred to me. Pretty credible scenario. More so than a practice run for air force.

Military.com is openly anti-2A/RKBA and is to be avoided.

An F-15E strike isn’t cheap. There’s the ordnance, fuel, tanker & optional jammer support. Plus your putting at least 2 airman at risk in a heavy SAM environment. A few pounds of C-4 and some Det Chord will get the job done if you have sufficient time to set the charge.

Well, maybe there was some good reason they/we chose to use that particular weapons system

I work in and around medicare. I would like to see people defend resources in medicine with such sense. The amount of waste on such an ill advised flawed program without thought is crazy

I saw a video of one of the abandoned US camps. Plenty of equipment was left behind. Coke machines, refrigerators, microwave ovens, etc.
