Rep. Elijah Cummings, the powerful House Democrat who represented Baltimore for more than two decades and was a vocal critic of President Trump, died early Thursday after battling health problems, his office said in a statement.
Cummings, who was 68, died at Gilchrist Hospice Care, a Johns Hopkins affiliate. As chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, he was one of the most powerful Democrats in Washington, and played a key role in the House Democrats' ongoing efforts to impeach Trump.

I am no fan of the man but I hope he made his peace with God, and that his family will be comforted in their time of grief.
Well...he may no longer be able to run for office, but at least he can still vote.
His wife may run, (relatively young at 48, and undoubtedly rich with plunder), or she may find a young buck to spend her time with.

I have never been a fan of “Low Life”, Democrat Congressman, Elijah Cummings who did absolutely nothing for the his African-Americans living in the Baltimore, Maryland poverty, murder & crime ghetto. He was just like Barack Hussein Obama.....”Heed what I say ....but, not what I do”!!! My heart & soul grieve for the thousands of depraved Black Americans who lived in forever poverty and exposure to daily crime and murder in their neighborhoods, while Cummings danced away with Obama calling people racists and worse, while they filled their pockets with the Devil’s gold!!!
I will not condemn him in his departing this Earth...for that judgement belongs to God Almighty & his beloved son, Jesus Christ!!! God in his greatness and unending wisdom does his bidding as required!!! “What goes around, comes around”!!!

Yup,that's one possibility. Another is that we'll see some Ilhan Omar-type pig crawl out of the woodwork.Given the current state of the Rat Party I,personally,see that as being the most likely scenario.

He lambasted the rich,
he seared capitalists,
he excoriated big business,
he touted black exceptionalism,
he fomented race passions,
he blocked his opponents,
he positioned himself as a champion of the poor,
the oppressed,
he spoke out, he screamed...
He did everything except improve the lives of the people who elected him.
