Rep. Elijah Cummings, the powerful House Democrat who represented Baltimore for more than two decades and was a vocal critic of President Trump, died early Thursday after battling health problems, his office said in a statement.
Cummings, who was 68, died at Gilchrist Hospice Care, a Johns Hopkins affiliate. As chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, he was one of the most powerful Democrats in Washington, and played a key role in the House Democrats' ongoing efforts to impeach Trump.

The opening paragraph and announcement of his death, after only fifteen words and a long political career, they can only describe him as a vocal critic of Trump?
Long ago part of a noble cause, he ended up a racist hater, corrupted to his core. No sympathy.
Translation: Look for someone whom the late Rep.Cummings Haas “prep”to take over.
I noticed the article said he had a bacterial infection in his knee. This happens after knee replacement surgery and cannot be fixed. The infection never goes away regardless of the antibiotics taken. The inserted appliance gets infected and the bacteria grows on the appliance. Even after removing it, the infection doesn’t go away. Lab tests will show there is no infection, but after opening the knee for more surgery, it is still there. If you are considering knee surgery, consider that you will probably never walk again if you get this infection and your body will fight it until the end.

Health problems??? This is a guy who spent his entire life dictating what people can and can’t eat, what medications they will and won’t be allowed to take, had access to the best health care on the planet and even he couldn’t make it to the average life span. Why do we continue to look up to these people? RIP, Elijah.
