The current opposition to Mr. Barr centers on his effort to learn the predicateif there was onefor the unprecedented investigation into a U.S. presidential campaign. Messrs. Comey and Brennan have repeatedly and publicly questioned Mr. Barrs motives. They and their media allies warn that declassifying documents from the inquiry would set a dangerous precedent. Mr. Barr shows no signs of backing down.
He is also looking at the culture of political correctness that has caused the FBI and other agencies to slink away from a frank discussion of the Islamist threat. This has gone far beyond the knee-jerk PC of watch your words. During the Robert Mueller and Comey years it allowed advocacy groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations to get their noses under the FBI tent.
Those who now work under Mr. Barr speak of him the same way we did during his first tour: He knows no fear. His willingness to confront what went wrong in the collusion investigation will lead to changes in how the FBI handles politically sensitive investigations in the future. The process of applying for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrants will be reformed.
He formed a close bond with bureau management during his first tour. He is doing the work that needs to be done to restore the bureaus reputation. Todays FBI is lucky to have Mr. Barr as attorney general.

Yep, the process will be changed to ensure republicans have their hands tied and the lawless democrats will be given stern warnings
But the FBI is happy to have Christopher Wray as a counterweight against Barr.
My gut reaction is that FISA is and always will be a problem. Maybe it can work, if those who clearly abuse it pay the price, but if no one is indicted and convicted for the FISA abuses against Trump, it will be proof that it should go away.
Before there was FISA to be abused, there was the use of the facilities by the Clinton administration to monitor the cell phone calls of Newt and others.
The facts were well known but the crimes were swept under the rug.
Uh, Barr is not in the FBI. He is the Attorney General. This article does not distinguish that there are different roles for the FBI and the DOJ, and merely adds more confusion for the public.
Big Media likes Barr today?
I’m drawing a blank, ol’ pal, ol’ buddy. Which facilities were those?
Fire that weasel, the Fey Wray.
The FBI is an agency within the DOJ and is managed within the DOJ (the FBI Director reports to the Deputy U.S. Attorney General, in fact) ... so I’m not sure you can really say they have “different roles.”
During the Robert Mueller and Comey years it allowed advocacy groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations to get their noses under the FBI tent.

They were just doing the bidding of the ineligible Marxist muslim usurper Kenyan from Indonesia.
I’m drawing a blank too. The closest I can come is Enslaw or maybe Onslaw, but that is not the correct term. The government had tha capability to listen in on phone conversations of national security risks.
That capability was used to monitor the calls of Newt and others but was blamed on a Florida couple using equipment ginned up from stuff bought at Raadio Shack.
Withholding my opinion until we see how this shakes out.
Its up to Barr now. Either he procecutes the coup plotters or the country as we know it folds. If Barr is revealed to be a DS operative intent on whitewash we will have no recourse other than taking it to the streets.
Trump had his chance but he picked Wray, a deep state hack of the worst kind. Who knows whose fault it is but I dont see how he can dump him at this point. If Trump is still President on 1/21/21 l hope the first thing he does is fire the punk.
I'm sure if you looked at the aggregate FISA activity, you'll find very little of it stopped terrorism.
It’s all gaslighting theater. The Deep State loves do-nothing Bagpipe Bill.
The FBI ruined the lives of countless others, yet Barry took the job anywau. Morons.
