More than 50 years ago, big icebergs like this one were known to calf.

What is the news? What am I missing?

Not since the early 1960s has Amery calved a bigger iceberg. That was a whopping 9,000 sq km in area.

So, if "recorded" history on iceberg breaks started in 1970, then this is the largest iceberg break in recorded history!

Don't laugh. A lot of these climate change scare tactics are done merely by adjusting the start date of their recordings. Sounds like "scientific research" has gone the way of journalism. But as long as we have dolts like Occasionally Coherent and Greta the Wonder Chicken spouting about the end of the world, what the hey?
