More than 300,000 people have flocked to climate change rallies in 110 towns and cities across Australia, calling for governments and businesses to act immediately.

The Global Strike 4 Climate, held across the world on Friday, was the biggest climate mobilisation in Australia's history, with more than double the turnout of the March protest.

A whopping 100,000 protesters flooded the streets in Melbourne, while Sydney saw 80,000 people march through the CBD to the Domain.

Protesters were demanding a target of net zero carbon emissions by 2030 and a transition to 100 per cent renewable energy.

They broke the rule but at least they’re honest about it.

I’d have scheduled a major test with no make up later and given everyone who didn’t show up a big fat zero.

Oh no!

Earlier a headline said 'THOUSANDS(!) WorldWide' had protested

Are we now to believe that only a dozen or so across the entire globe were sincere?

I’ve already been told I’m not really a woman because I’m conservative and in alignment with feminism.

And I’ve been told the dude in a dress at a women in tech conference WAS a woman or more of a woman than me, because I don’t ape 1950s stereotypes.

Being called a climate denier compared to that is no big deal.

DUH!

Rember SADD? Are they still around? Students Against Drunk Driving... If you were a member every few weeks or once a month they would have an assembly that got you out of a few classes for the day... Most of the folks that were members in my high school were the slackers and folks who drank and smoke and drove all the time.... but they were all members of SADD because it got them out of a few classes....

THese kids are pawns, little more...
