Conservatives are often puzzled about how the majority of Jews can still vote Democrat even though the party has become so anti-Israel, and tolerates antisemitism from the likes of Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). Christian conservatives also ask me, politely, why Jews are liberal. Jewish conservatives are less restrained, and often express outright frustration. Norman Podhoretz even wrote a book about it: Why Are Jews Liberals?
For most Jewish conservatives, the question is as much about pain as politics. Each of us bears the scars of family dinners gone wrong, of angry e-mails from relatives who call us disloyal Jews — and even antisemites — because they watch CNN or believe their liberal rabbi or follow the trash that the New York Times prints about President Donald Trump, the first Jewish zayde in the White House and the best friend that the Jewish State has ever had.
So when President Trump criticized Omar and Tlaib for their hostility toward Israel, and asked how Democrats could consider cutting aid to Israel because of “two people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people,” adding, “I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty,” most Jewish conservatives knew exactly where he was coming from, even if we may not have chosen those words.

Yep. One of my attorneys is a NY jew in his 70s, and a democrat. I try not to talk politics. But he knows I love trump and he hates him. He insists Trump does not care about Israel. When I mention these crazy rat candidates he says well there is Biden. He is stuck in JFK Democratic time warp. Sad.

I used to think they were secretly suicidal.
Over the years I realized it’s really about hating the Christians, first, last, and in between.
The irony is that between the Jews of this world and death are standing the Christians they passionately hate.
Once those Christians cease actively standing for the Constitution in this country the Jews will be in dire shape.
By then, unfortunately, it will be too late.
And never say it will never happen.
We are now a country where killing children up to and through birth is legal and killing children in general is seen as less horrendous as it was years ago.
In fact, those in charge thrive upon the evil and the uneducated masses as well as educated monsters are no longer afraid to inflict sexual harm and death upon their targets.
I still don't have a good answer. Though I agree with you there is a very strong hatred for Christianity.
