We might need more of our agricultural products anyways:

American farmers need to either find another market or find something else to plant. Being at the mercy of the Chinese is not where we want to be.

Hey China! These works great and get the job done and I'm sure your buddies over in Russia can supply you all that you need! Haven't you already been using them for thousands of years?

China’s a big consumer. Buying from other countries just leaves the customers of those countries coming to the US for product.

This is hysteria driven by companies with sweetheart deals selling to China. The overall world demand doesn’t change.

Can’t agricultural based countries like Brazil or Argentina or India or Canada pick up the slack?

OK starve your people. With the swine flu in China your basic staple of meat is down dramatically, Where are you going to get your pork?

Guess what tofu is made from, Soybeans, which the US has abundance of, and China, not so much.

Wheat to make your noodles, US abundance, China not so much.

WE(USA)feed the world, and starving masses start revolutions.

We have other markets if you don’t buy.

Fook You, Communist Party of China.

Well, they could ramp up their imports from the EU ( a large pork producer ), Brazil, Russia and Canada.

That would be great.

Most/all of the factories that made clothing, ie ‘buggywhips’ (to use a term a globalist freeper used to justify outsourcing in ‘discussions’ on same about 10 years ago) were packed up lock, stock and barrel and literally shipped to China back in the 90’s.

This is unpossible! Fox Business News tells me that tariffs don’t hurt Communist China at all, they only hurt the American consumer. Communist China would NEVER retaliate...and if they did, it’s only because they just care deeply about the American consumer.

Don’t let up! For the small family farms, I sympathize. For the large “family” farms, depends on how “family”, they really are. Some are fairly large corporations, some of which still get paid for NOT producing. If course, China would rather starve it’s people than lose any money. They’ve played us for suckers for decades.

A new Holodomor. First, Stalin in Ukraine; now Xi (Emperor 11) in China. Will the NYT deny it AGAIN?
