Islam has NEVER been AND NEVER WILL BE “. . . harmless among world faiths!”
Islam is an evil death cult, responsible for in excess of 270,000,000 non-Moslem deaths since AD 622. I don’t believe there is any count on the number of Moslems killed by Moslems since then.
Yet as I continue to point out, nobody but Mohammed ever really was Islamic in Mohammed’s sense. A society couldn’t even survive, let alone hang around to carry out killings, if it were that cuckoo, that nuts. It would be soon engaged in mutual murders amongst itself for lack of “purity.” What is practiced is various more or less bowdlerized versions of Mohammed’s Islam, some more packed with hate than others, and all of themselves calling themselves Islam.
And so it probably is good realpolitik, barring a dramatic sweep of Islamic lands by Christianity, to let the more peaceful derivatives of Mohammed’s Islam keep on calling themselves Islam, in hope (and prayer in Christ) that the worst derivatives will eventually tire themselves out and extinguish themselves. If your mad neighbor is calming down, it really isn’t wisdom to keep on hollering about how mad he had been.
And so, my suggested policy is a wary, but by all means prayerful, “Wait and see.” Every civilized transaction that the West successfully engages in with “Islamic” peoples is that much more motivation to those people to lay down the madness. Thanks to petroleum, that’s a lot of peoples today, and if Donald Trump somehow can be inspired about how to get Iran on board the civilization train, that could be even more peoples. What George W. Bush did was clumsy and fell short of the ideal, but it wasn’t without some good — there are still official relationships going on between Iraq and the USA and that could be far worse.
