It strikes me as quite unlikely that Jeffrey Epstein's motive for allegedly inviting powerful figures from the U.S. and Europe aboard the Lolita Express on a trip to Orgy Island was mere fellowship — as if they were playing a round of golf together. My dominant hypothesis is that he was video-recording highly illegal and morally reprehensible rapes for use as blackmail material. It might have been insurance against serious prosecution for his indulging in his own perversion, which would explain why his punishment the first time he was prosecuted was laughably light:
In June 2008, after Epstein pleaded guilty to a single state charge of soliciting prostitution from girls as young as 14, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Instead of being sent to state prison like the majority of sex offenders convicted in Florida, Epstein was housed in a private wing of the Palm Beach County stockade. He was able to hire his own security detail and was allowed "work release" to his downtown office for up to 12 hours a day six days a week. He served 13 months before being released for a year of probation. While on probation he was allowed numerous trips on his corporate jet to his homes in Manhattan and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
But a man who made serious money on Wall Street might well appreciate the utility of being able to blackmail people into sharing secret information, or rendering government decisions that favor him, among many other possibilities.

Why isn’t congress demanding full release of every tape?
Possible, but high stakes game with the very rich. They have many different resources available.
Maybe it is true. Now that he is cornered it is time to use that material to make a deal with the feds.
He’d have been Arkancied a long time ago if he was in the blackmail business. The rich and powerful have ways of making problems disappear.
He probably made big money and increased his political power with videos.

Blackmail? Perhaps ... but that’s a good way to end up dead ... especially with the Clintons.
Occam’s Razor. It stroked his ego to provide unique services for rich and powerful clients ... and ... the pervert just liked it.
But, what if Epstein had the resources of a large intelligence agency available?
He has the pictures, name and dates locked up in his vault in NYC.... Oh the FBI raided that vault?

Maybe he had a dead man’s switch to keep breathing. It wouldn’t surprise me if Mossad had everything and would release it if something happened to Epstein.
There are still fixers that will get the job done. The world has more than a few very scary serious people that are not on any three letter agencies radar.

It is bizarre that no public sources know with any certainty how Epstein made his $billions. Its all just “money management” - supposedly for other billionaires, and all off-shore.

I tend to see it this way as well. The powerful have their methods of informing each other and if there had been any inkling that Epstein was blackmailing, the powerful would have eliminated the threat a long time ago.
This is a case of sex perversion and those who are addicted.
