Gambling website offers bets ahead of Democrats' first debate

Debate watchers who are feeling lucky can bet on a whole host of aspects of the Democratic White House hopefuls' first face-off this week, including if former Vice President Biden will hug someone onstage, and how many times President Trump might tweet.

The gambling site SportsBetting.ag unveiled a host of wagers this week ahead of Wednesday and Thursday nights’ Democratic primary debates.

The site puts it at 16/5 odds that one of the candidates will "say a curse word or be bleeped" during the debates in Miami.

Bettors can also wager on the first topic that moderators will ask about on Wednesday, with 2/1 odds for abortion, followed by 3/1 odds for both health care and gun control.

The website is placing a 1.5 over/under on the number of times Trump will tweet during Wednesday's debate, while on Thursday the over/under increases to 2.5.

Gamblers can also bet on whether Trump will tweet some of his favorite jabs towards the candidates, with 3/2 odds that he'll mention Mad magazine mascot Alfred E. Neuman — the commander in chief's insult of choice for South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg — or 1/2 odds that he'll make a "Pocahontas" slur when referring to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Bookmakers are also betting there's at least some chance that Biden — who's faced criticism after multiple women say he inappropriately touched them while he was vice president — will physically embrace some of the women running for president. The odds of Biden hugging Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) or Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) or author Marianne Williamson during Thursday's debate are 2/3 he will, and 6/5 he won't. The site notes that Biden "must clearly wrap at least one arm around one of them" in order for gamblers to cash in.

1/1 it’s so boring I won’t be able to stay awake thru it.

1/20 there is not a single actual detailed plan offered for anything, just statements like “We need to solve this and that and we can do it with compassion.”

Joe should pull a Lazio, walk over to the woman and start rubbing her shoulders and French kissing her.

I would have done the debates ala Final 4 style. Have a random drawing to pick who debates who. There is a 24 hour turnaround for voters to cast their vote on the winner. The two remaining candidates are VP and President with the winner getting choice on which role he/she/it wants. All delegates will then throw their support behind the winning candidate. And it is an open vote so anyone can vote for their favorite whack job, I mean Democrat.

Nothing is “Random” when it comes to RATS.

I cannot understand how anyone could consider voting for any one of these Democrats. I cannot understand why people aren’t defecting from the party in droves right now. They are wholly misinformed and maleducated even on what it would take to fix the issues they claim to care most about.

The Democrats are obstructionist; they have accomplished nothing since taking the House. No prison sentencing reform bill. No money for border security or money for food, shelter, medicine for people crossing the border. No infrastructure bill that would pour money into their districts (I am glad it failed but shows they care more about hurting Trump than anything). Schools are failing everywhere. Government computer systems are being taken over by hackers for ransom. They broadly advance more government and more taxes as the solution to everything but then let them fall into neglect only to ask for more money and more control!

One of my favorites one is this: Let’s raise taxes so we can forgive student debt and give away free college - so that the people who had their debt forgiven and free education can pay their student loans in the form of higher taxes!

How about “Free Medicare”: In other words, make all doctors employees of the government? Yeah, that’s gonna work out just great - make health care as good a product as a public school. The Democrats had a chance, they rammed Obamacare down our throats and promised greatness. They had a chance to give universal health care but all they really gave us was mandatory health insurance - no guarantee of actual health care! They forced this on us without 1 single GOP vote. Now they want to try it again? Why on earth should anybody trust them?

The solution in almost all cases is competition. Competition makes better products. Monopolies make bad products. Even a Democrat should be able to understand this. But, they constantly vote against what they know to be true.

The rats are having their “kiddie table” debates on the night before the main event rather than earlier in the day like the GOP did.

I don’t know how you separate the kiddies from the heavy hitters in this conga line of freaks*.

Omg the Hill should be embarrassed. How obvious that they are whores for the globalist oligarchy, and not very good ones. They put up The Best Photo Ever Taken Of Biden, from 30 years ago, and the worst they could find of pokahontas and Bernie.

You’re right. They will have “raising taxes”in invisible thought bubbles over their heads. But their honeyed words probably won’t include the t-word. If you want a buzz, pick a different drinking word, like reparations or Medicare for all.
