Trump Shrugs Off Killing of Khashoggi by Saudi Agents
New York Times ^ | June 23, 2019 | Michael D. Shear

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Sunday shrugged off the brutal dismembering of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist, just days after a United Nations report described how a team of Saudi assassins called Mr. Khashoggi a “sacrificial animal” before his murder.

The U.N. report urged an F.B.I. investigation into the slaying. But in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Mr. Trump said the episode had already been thoroughly investigated. He said the Middle East is “a vicious, hostile place” and noted that Saudi Arabia is an important trading partner with the United States.

“I only say they spend $400 to $450 billion over a period of time, all money, all jobs, buying equipment,” the president told Chuck Todd, the show’s moderator. “I’m not like a fool that says, ‘We don’t want to do business with them.’ And by the way, if they don’t do business with us, you know what they do? They’ll do business with the Russians or with the Chinese.”

Just days after pulling back from striking Iran for its downing of an American surveillance drone, Mr. Trump also said he was “not looking for war,” but added that if the United States went to war with Iran, “it’ll be obliteration like you’ve never seen before.”

Who the ####!!!! would we trade with if we did no trade with those who kill their own people.

Hell, we couldn’t even have intra and interSTATE trade, unless you are NAIVE enough to believe politicians in America don’t have people killed.

Take you IDEALS and go join George Will.

You can both baste in your Trump hatred juices, but you’ll get to feel MORALLY SUPERIOR.

And after all, losing elections and feeling morally superior was what Will and other Trump haters were and are all about.

What is the Trump doctrine? Kill as many of your own people as you want, as long as you do business with us?

Well, people who aren't either stupid or evil have no problem when members of terrorist organizations are taken out. They sure aren't going to complain when another country takes out the trash.

Yes we know you hate Trump and love you some Muslim Brotherhood, Reagan - Not! That you have made clear

Kashogi was Muslim Brotherhood. How he was disposed of is not our business. Look at what they did to Christians, fellow Muslims, American soldiers.

The Saudies survive the way they need to survive. Would you rather have them financing the Russians or Chinese so they can kill us?

If the Kashoggi incident had happened during barky’s admin, NO ONE — especially the fake news — would give a rip about it!!!

A foreigner killed by foreigners in a foreign country. Why should any of us care (beyond the basic anti-murder priciple).

So the deceased was a WaPo columnist? (likely Fake News)

So why’s the NYT upset? The competition was killed off, literally. Isn’t that good for them?

There aren’t many stupid questions, but that’s one of them.

Trump’s doctrine is based on realism and wisdom.

Khashoggi isn’t our concern. I’m more interested in a proper investigation into Seth Rich’s murder. Why hasn’t that been done.

The Saudis spend their money buying American politicians,
funding the construction of anti-American, anti-Christian
terrorists centers called "mosques" and infiltrating American
universities and colleges in order to plant their
subversive 7th ideology in the minds of American students. Not mention their funding of terrorism around the Western world.

MSM here says Mr. K was just a newspaper reporter 90% of the time...NO mention of his radical (Kill the Infidel) connections back home in Muzzydom....It’d be like having Ol’ Valerie J.staying on with the Donald....

He was in the Muslim Brotherhood.

He wasn’t an American.

He wasn’t a green card holder.

He wasn’t on the regular staff of the NYT.

I don’t get it:

“The USA has to go to war against ANY country that brings harm to a person who has gotten published in the NYT”.

People are treating the US military like a global 911 responder.

Wars are expensive. Wars last YEARS.

Almost every country in the world puts the interests of it’s OWN people against those of outsiders.

Is this the latest meme from the NYT, that Trump is a bad guy for not starting a war so that they can call him a bad guy? That’s pretty pathetic. I bet they already had the stories written, too.

You can send your son into the breach in to avenge Khashoggi if you like, but I thank Trump for not sending mine.

You want to fight the whole world?

I’m not a big fan of the house of Saud but what’s the alternative? It seems to be Al Qaeda or those of their ilk in that part of the world. It was a perfectly valid choice based on national security considerations to strike a deal with the House of Saud during WWII as FDR did and to maintain that alliance through the Cold War and even today. Its not like if they were just out of the way an Arab Thomas Jefferson would arise. That region and that culture is incapable of producing one.

Jamal Khashoggi was a member of the Mozlems brotherhood. The only problem with killing them is it’s not fast enough to wipe them all out.
