David Gregory Frets: Trump Not Persuaded by Prince Charles or Al Gore on Carbon Tax
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 06/05/2019 11:24:17 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Gee, why wouldn't President Trump listen to Prince Charles or Al Gore when it comes to slapping taxes on carbon? I mean, it would only cost untold trillions globally, hobble economies, hurt the poorest countries and people most . . . and do little if anything to affect "climate change."

[snip]

David Gregory:

"They apparently met for much longer than they were scheduled to so the President could listen to Prince Charles on the issue of climate change. Look, the President just continues, he has now for years, whether it was Al Gore, or his children or others who are pleading the case for what he can do as President of the United States to advance this and not set back effective responses to climate change. He continues to be dug in, to disregard and ignore what is scientific consensus . . . The President doesn’t appear to be showing much movement, despite consensus not only in the scientific community but among corporate leaders that there has to be a price on carbon."

In other news, Trump is not persuaded by Ronald McDonald and Bozo The Clown that state ownership of the means of production is the right path of history. Those guys are experts, dang it!

We are in a cooling phase.

I fail to see how carbon is causing the cooling.
Here’s a thought: maybe variations in solar output could influence temperatures on Earth? Anyone ever think of that?

Trapped in a room with Prince Charles having to listen to him go on about climate change, would just reinforce my belief and the fact that it is one big scam. I’m sure President Trump came away from his meeting with Prince Charles feeling the same way, Trump was extra polite to the Prince to meet with him.

consensus

"Let's be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus.
Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world. In science consensus is irrelevant.
What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus." -- Michael Crichton

The vast majority of climate ‘science talk, is coming from liberal politicians and the liberal media. Hmmm.... wonder why nobody takes them seriously.

The other 1% of climate ‘science’ mentions, is coming from the politically bought ‘scientists’ who have their own agendas but not that of real science.

Not to mention no other nation would comply, while holding the US to the most strident standards, and living off of our carbon tax.

Maybe the Pope (another esteemed scientist) could explain that the majority believe Global Warming is True AND that it’s the fault of Americans...

After all...

Appeals to authority and ‘proof high percentages of believers’ agreed with each other worked to convince Nicolaus Copernicus he was wrong...

“Over 30,000 scientists say ‘Catastrophic Man-Made Global Warming’ is a complete hoax and science lie

One guy in Pittsburgh, PA says there are plenty more than 30,000.
