There is no process or procedure that the DEMs can't ruin via abuse. They twist words and meanings with reckless abanodon, cheat, lie, and whatever it takes. They've deliberately screwed the country into the ground.
Yes, they got two and a half years of near-daily harangue out of the Trump-Russian Collusion process, even if it didn't roll out with the final result against PDJT they wanted, it at least helped to deliver the House in 2018, which otherwise would surely have been a smoking crater for them.
They know that absent something really blockbuster, the Senate will never remove PDJT. But now, out of necessity, they closely consider that a long, dragged out "i" process could serve their interests toward the 2020 election. In fact, only an "i" process seems to be large enough to offset and serve as a counterpoint to indictments of upper echelon DOS/DOJ/FBI/IC figures that are certainly on their way.
They've long believed they could provoke a blockbuster PDJT act of obstruction, because "they just knew" he was that imbalanced. That hasn't worked either, but they absolutely must keep H>, Barry and their Deep State from suffering a huge defeat! So, the "i" process it will be (unless it begins to hurt too much).

If the impeachment process could be stopped, Chuck and Nancy would have stopped it.
Given that fact, Trump's objective--deal maker that he is--will be to turn the impeachment process to his advantage.
One of the President's options re: the impeachment process is to paint it as a desperate attempt that exists ONLY because the Democrats have nothing else to offer. It--impeachment--is the Democratic platform.
They do not have plans to improve the economy. They do not have plans to improve national defense. They do not have plans to secure the border. Since the Mueller Report, they don't even have collusion

The only way to make it less effective is to take back the House in 2020
If not, then declare martial law and ship Dems to Gitmo for insurrection, sedition and treason. If the courts get mouthy they can join them.

As long as Republicans own the senate impeachment is a done deal. They can impeach but they can’t convict. What don’t kill DJT, just makes him stronger. They ran their mouths and now can’t back it up. Checkmate. MAGA
