But before retirement I was in an space systems business where making key judgments without understanding the basic facts can cost multi $100M, jobs, and possibly lives, plus I handled a lot of legal issues as part of running major projects. So I try to stay informed and to read up before I spout opinions though there's tons of mis- and disinformation to sift through.
I try as well. But, it gets tougher and tougher. So much Fake news out there.
