The first openly gay general at the Air Force Academy has been removed as commandant of cadets, but leaders there were mum Monday on the exact cause of the apparent firing.
Brig. Gen. Kristin Goodwin, who led military training at the academy since 2017, was removed from her role as commandant amid an investigation, the school confirmed Monday.

Any bets on whether she considered herself sufficiently invulnerable from criticism, that she figured she could get away with sexually harassing somebody there?
“So is this job now permanently reserved for lesbians?”

No... The link is a photo of her and her family.
I am tempted to try to explain the “Peter Principle” as it relates to women “leaders,” but will, in the interest of keeping the conversation civil, defer.
I have had the same experiences as have you - and I fully agree: “Women . . . are not cut out to lead!”
A cell just opened up?
That's good for physical conditioning, but hardly a recipe for sound discipline.
Moved there with her friend, not wife.
They seem really coy about reasons for dismissal, though the article says she roughed up the people in her command.
Imagine a 36 hr flight in a B-2 cockpit with her.
Kind of like place kicker on a high school football team. They've got to do something with them.
She was just selected to Brig less than a year ago. Been at the Air Force Academy since May 2017. This was on Mattis' watch, though Trump has been pretty "gay friendly", only excluding tranny's from the military.

Bottom line? Women in the military are evaluated differently than men, and the standards are much lower! Gotta fill those quotas, dontchaknow?
“a tough new set of discipline polices that made cadets tow the line. “
I thought that towing a line would be more appropriate for the Navy, or maybe the Coast Guard.
Bad journalism tugs at my heart.
Good to know she was allowed to work with nukes...PC run amuck.
I know I hate that too. Especially in military parlance it’s toe the line.
With perverts *everything* is about their disordered hormones.
I am well acquainted with the Peter Principle and concur it is an apt explanation.
Of course as we all know there are exceptions to everything. There are women who can and do make fine leaders and men who are not. I have yet to meet any of the former myself but have met plenty of the latter.
Thanks for being a voice of reason here. To many posters are "ready, fire, aim" types that assume too much.
The new commandant is the first female officer appointed to a high position that actually looks feminine to me.
We had our share of "questionables" in my time.
“The first openly gay general at the Air Force Academy”
Jesus, what’s happened to my Air Force.
