Pope Francis donated half a million dollars to help caravan migrants stranded in Mexico.

The money will come from the Peter’s Pence collection, which is used to “to help the poor in whatever way is possible.”

“In 2018, six migrant caravans entered Mexico, for a total of 75,000 people; the arrival of other groups was announced. All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood,” read a statement from the Vatican's Peter's Pence Office.

“In this context, Pope Francis donated US $ 500,000 to assist migrants in Mexico. This amount will be distributed among 27 projects in 16 dioceses and among Mexican religious congregations

Oh yeah, I had checked those numbers after you noted it.

I just LOL’d that it came out that way.

Might be unintentional - don’t know.

But I got the same result - 6.66666666666666(calc makes the last digit 7)

I’m tripping out because the headline could be “Pope gives $6.66 per person illegally coming to USA in 2018”
I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I’m still tripping...

He didn’t donate the money. He took it from collections and sent it.

Hey, Rome collects billions from ‘we the people’, calls it ‘charity’, to (cough cough) care for their illegal invasion... Too bad ‘we the people’ cannot demand an accounting of pappy Francis’s treasury.

Yes and some Catholics say they will only give to local projects
Sorry like Judas the Pope can steal and redirect any local money he wants to

Support Catholicism in any way and you support illegal immigration

Well not me, I am not a catholic so have no say in reigning him in

Except to chastise him for working against the good of the USA

Also our government gives catholic orgs millions to support illegal insurgent criminal invading aliens

Tax payer money

That is a crime and should be STOPPED!

Catholicism works against the best interest of our country which is traitorous

Maybe the Pope should give the money directly to the drug cartels - they're they folks who bring these people to break into our country.

Oh I imagine that is who gets

Every illegal who crosses the border has to go through the cartel one way or another

Even mayors in border states get paid by the cartel(s) to give them passage

"The money should have gone to the Church’s victims of sexual abuse."

---------

Well said!

This socialist crackpot has NO moral standing until he sweeps his own house clean of the institutionalized abuse and active efforts to shield the guilty from justice.

No conscience about the decades of abuse going on within, only misuse of the church funds to press forward with his own political agenda. He is a criminal disgrace.

Perhaps this a humanitarian effort and it will help Mexico keep all the people together in a country where they speak the same language and are culturally more alike. The Mexican government should take responsibility for those who enter their country illegally.

That would be a good thing if it would happen, but the Mexican govt is getting paid by the cartels to sweep these people through their country and into ours.

The cartels have been in control of their northern states for over 10 years. Now they control the key parts of the whole country.

PETER’S PENCE, SOROS’ PENCE: Pope to Give $500,000 to Illegal Immigrants

...the purpose of Peter's Pence Collection is to provide the Holy Father with the financial means to respond to those who are suffering as a result of war, oppression, natural disaster, and disease.

[Like Judas who stole from the original Christian Church, the pope is a judas to the Catholic Church.

Stealing money that could help the persecuted Christians in Iraq, Egypt and Nigeria]

...to help them rebuild their devastated churches, schools, homes, and lives at the brutal hands of Islamic jihadists...

What about the underground Catholic Church in China who are experiencing a massive destructive crackdown and demolition of their churches and lives by the Communist government? They could use $500,000 from Peter’s Pence to rebuild their places of worship.

Shame on the Catholic church and their pope to steal money needed in devastated areas where Islamic radicals have killed raped and also destroyed buildings where Christians worship.

Shame on thee pope!

Not giving to Peter's Pence is a good idea but giving at all to the Catholic church should be stopped

Local collections go half to the local parish and half to the pope.

https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/government/fbci/qr_summary.html

“On January 29, 2001, President George W. Bush signed the first two Executive Orders of his Administration, creating the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) and similar offices within five Federal agencies. “

This is one executive order President Trump should toss in the trash ... like it or not ‘we the people’ are forced to fund fake religious charities for the sole purpose of transforming this nation. This double minded priest (unholy pappy Francis) does not even have the ‘grace’ to send out a ‘thank you’ to ‘we the people’, for his direct access to our treasury. And he sends a penance to fund his migration and crows about it like a drama queen.

Rome attempted to interfere with the 2016 presidential election... poxes on Rome.

Thanks for the info

Yes Trump needs to look into that

Bush was good at doing “feel good” things that were worthless or hurtful to our country
