President Trump offered his thoughts Tuesday night on which two Democratic contenders he thinks will be left standing in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

Out of the crowded pool of contenders, Trump predicted on Twitter that former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders will be the final two in the battle to be the party’s nominee.

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump I believe it will be Crazy Bernie Sanders vs. Sleepy Joe Biden as the two finalists to run against maybe the best Economy in the history of our Country (and MANY other great things)! I look forward to facing whoever it may be. May God Rest Their Soul!

I think that the Democrats vying for the nomination don't want to win it. At least not in 2020. The game is to either do well, or get the Veep slot. 2020 is, at best, a long shot for Democrats. Presidents, especially those who enjoy a strong economy, generally get re-elected. The game is to jockey for 2024.

Losers get cast aside. The last time someone won the nomination of a major party after previously losing happened over 50 years ago, with Richard Nixon.

In other words, women and minorities need not bother applying as Democratic Presidential candidates.

The welcoming, diverse Democratic Party always goes for the old male honkies again. Got it.

“Millions of Dems will stay home.”

the Dems are gonna be hoist on their own fractionated identity politics no matter what they do:

if they nominate someone like Biden who at least has the APPEARANCE of not being a crazy, they’ll keep the naive white part of their base that always pulls the “D” lever because they still think the Dems are the party of Truman and Kennedy, but they’ll lose much of the youth, the colorfuls, and the crazies ....

if they nominate a crazy, they’ll get the crazies, the youth, and some of the colorfuls, but will lose the naive whites that still think the Dems are the party of Truman and Kennedy ...

Well, he didn’t really lose, he was ripped off by the Kennedy Clan, but that’s a topic for another day.

So much for “diversity”. Two old white men will be the last two standing.

And the real problem going into 2024 is there are no real conservatives that have a chance. It'll be back to the lesser of two evils, with the Democrat having the better chance of winning.

Biden is dithering, dithering, can’t make a decision, can’t move forward. He’s the exact opposite of a true leader. Pathetic!

Buttgag has a bit of a kerfuffle, involves the wire tapping of police officers, firings, lawsuits, accusations of racism. Yeah, Pete’s the man ! /s

Pete probably goes nowhere and winds up divorced.

I hope all that pans out, the guy makes me ill. I’m thinking about how much the dems are wrecking themselves over identity politics these days. ButtGig has “identity gravitas”, where as, Joe and Bernie have none. I never expect the dems to make a sensible choice. Ever.
