Bay Area congressman Eric Swalwell on Monday became the latest person to join the incredibly crowded 2020 Democratic presidential race.
His primary policy message of the campaign will be gun control, and he's proposing a mandatory buyback of "military-style semiautomatic assault weapons."

Looks like my all-black AR-15 SBR w/ suppressor, and 60rnd mag. I have other AR-15s which the suppressor fits nicely, once the flash hider is removed. I don’t suppress the AR-10s. Yet.

I see Eric Swalwell as a White Affluent power grabbing Fascist. He rallies Rich White Affluent people behind them, whips them into a frenzy saying these “poor white and non-white people who lives in other parts of the state and country are a threat, and we must disarm them or nuke them. And the rich, white affluent people hang on his every word and agree with him. He leads a group of people that want to decide who lives and who dies, essentially.
My high school shop teacher once brought in his brand new deer hunting shotgun to school one day so he could show it off to us kids.

It was one of the highlights of school that year. I still remember how cool it was 40 years later.

Solely for sake of argument, assume the “buyback” program goes into effect and the government “buys back” 15 million rifles.
Also assume they are all cheaper AR15s valued at $500.

I don’t know if CWII is coming or not. But there are signs. Dem-dominatied states are passing laws to protect abortion “rights” up to and possibly after birth, while conservative states are passing “heartbeat” laws. Dem-states are passing laws restricting access to firearms and ammunition and pushing for “red-flag” laws to seize firearms while freedom-loving states are instituting Constitutional carry laws, i.e. no requirements to carry concealed weapons. We’re not just being pulled in different directions; it seems we’re being pulled in opposite directions.
