Coulter to Dems: Remind voters Trump 'hasn't kept any of his promises'
The Hill ^ | March 25, 2019 | CHRIS MILLS RODRIGO

Ann Coulter on Monday said Democrats should point out that President Trump "hasn’t kept any of his promises" in the wake of special counsel Robert Mueller's report that found no conspiracy between Trump and Russia in the 2016 election.

Coulter, the conservative commentator who has feuded with Trump over his failure so far to build a wall on the Mexican border, urged Democrats to tell voters Trump had failed to meet his promises.

"Hey liberals! Hot tip for you: You want to go after Trump? Point out he hasn’t kept any of his promises," Coulter wrote on Twitter.

Democrats have opposed Trump's efforts to build a wall on the border, even passing a measure overturning his effort to declare an emergency to get the wall built. Trump vetoed that measure passed by the House and Senate.

Attorney General William Barr sent a letter to Congress Sunday detailing the top-level findings of Mueller's report.

His letter said the special counsel's investigation did not uncover evidence that the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government to interfere in the 2016 election — something which Trump and supporters have jumped on as clearing the president.

While Mueller's team did not reach a conclusion on whether or not Trump obstructed justice while in the presidency, Barr said he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein decided not to pursue an obstruction charge after reviewing the special counsel's findings.

Coulter, once a prominent and vocal supporter of Trump, has repeatedly criticized the president in recent months over the negotiations on the wall.

She criticized him for “folding” on the proposed border wall with Mexico by agreeing to a short-term spending deal to end the 35-day government shutdown without guaranteeing funding for the wall.

Coulter also called Trump's State of the Union address earlier this year the “lamest, sappiest, most intentionally tear-jerking SOTU ever.

But when it comes to the real barometer of presidential truthfulness — keeping his promises — Trump is a paragon of honesty. For better or worse, since taking office Trump has done exactly what he promised he would.

Trump kept his promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, something his three immediate predecessors also promised yet failed to do. He promised to “crush and destroy ISIS,” and two years later he is on the verge of eliminating the Islamic State’s physical caliphate. He promised to impose a travel ban on countries that he saw as posing a terrorist threat, and after several false starts the final version of his ban was upheld by the Supreme Court. He promised to punish Syria if it used chemical weapons on its people, and, unlike his immediate predecessor, he followed through — not once but twice.

Trump pledged to nominate Supreme Court justices “in the mold of Justice [Antonin] Scalia,” and now Neil M. Gorsuch and Brett M. Kavanaugh sit on the high court. Trump also pledged to fill the federal appellate courts with young, conservative judges, and so far the Senate has confirmed 29 — more than any recent president at this point in his administration.

Trump vowed to pass historic tax reforms and signed the first major overhaul of the tax code in three decades. He vowed an unprecedented regulatory rollback, with a strict policy to eliminate two existing regulations for every new regulation. In his first year, he achieved $8.1 billion in lifetime regulatory savings and is on track to achieve an additional $9.8 billion this year.

“The ONLY 2 things that had to be done to save America from permanent rat rule and certain death-—Drain the swamp(justice-restore the rule of law) and build the wall(immigration).”

You’re wrong there. The things I listed are those that can be done with or without liberal interference. By saying what you are saying, they don’t mean anything for the return of this country to the greatness we had up until the start of liberal interference almost 100 years ago.

Do you see a whole lot of new programs there or the reversal of problems and improvements beyond expectations? Every one of those is for all the people. And most of it is because of the people. So by just nudging certain directions, the Trump administration has sent this freight train rolling to make us, again, the strongest nation on earth financially, intelligently, militarily, and charitably.

So it doesn’t matter whether the wall gets built. In my mind, the reason it is not being built is because the liberals need it to increase their voting base and as a reason to try to show a lack of success for Trump. In the mean time, they are supporting the illegal aliens that come in to lower our standards, and cost us money through funds misuse and bring in illnesses and crime even to the point of creating places for them to hide from the laws.

And it would take changes in the Constitution to accomplish that draining as it is state rights. It is also their right to argue the lack of need for the wall whether it is intelligent or not.

As for the swamp, do you really think there is any way to drain it? If you do, then you better come up with it soon as you can’t stop anyone from being voted in without a criminal act. There is no replacement for stupid voters. Especially those “dumbed down” by the press. And the libs have been building on this for a hundred years behind lawyers and loopholes in the Constitution. The rule of law you mention is whatever the courts decide yesterday. Ready to re-write it? Never happen.

But in reading your answer, I can see you are either liberal not recognizing the successes or you limit yourself to what the media feeds you. I’m sorry if that’s the case, either way.

But you do not take into consideration that becoming strong is a group thing, not one person. And our mode of living since Trump’s election has gone up a bundle. Wasn’t it Hilary Clinton that said, “It takes a village?” Well look at the borders and the sign says USA. And there’s a lot more people now saying they’re glad that sign is there whether it sits on a wall or on a sign. We can individually respect it, but we can’t make other people do so. So the problem isn’t the wall or the swamp. It’s evil people. And if you have a way to get rid of people that don’t agree with you, you’re in the wrong country. Good or bad, it’s a democracy.

Whatever Coulter is going through, she definitely needs to hook up w/ George Conway to work things out for the two of them.

Meanwhile, just go away.

She’s always looked trannyish but I kinda would do her anyway. Double bagged cause she touched Bill Maher.

She’s know egging on the democrats? That’s a no-no Annie.

I thought she was mildly attractive a decade ago but I never understood FReepers drooling over her. And I ALWAYS felt personality wise she is like nails on a chalkboard and turns people OFF from conservativism in droves.

Of course, a decade ago it was utterly taboo to speak ill of Ann Coulter on FR.

I also remember when Mark Levin was an infallible god-like figure on FR who was ALWAYS right 100% of the time. Disagreeing with him meant you didn’t “understand” the Constitution because apparently he wrote the thing himself. His fan club started to sound like Paulbots at that point.

Coulter is further confirmation that NONE of these so-called “conservative” pundits-—Goldberg, Boot, Podhoretz, even Shapiro-—really are conservative in the first place. I think the fact that Trump is actually advancing conservative ideas is a genuine threat to them and their cottage industry of pudificating. They get nice book sales, speaking gigs from “being the loyal opposition.”

Trump’s view is, to hell with that. We need to be the majority, act like it, and let the DemoKKKrats be the loyal opposition.

So Menopausal Ann has joined the ranks of Broken Kristol, Bootless, Goldberger, and the Pud as outed liberals.
