Someone Just Noticed The Middle-Class Revival Going On Under Trump

Middle-Class Economics: USA Today ran a surprising story on Tuesday headlined "Can the middle-class revival under Trump last?" It's surprising — shocking really — because it might just be the first time a major news outlet has admitted that there has been a middle-class revival under Trump.

We did a search for news stories that used the phrase "middle-class revival" since Trump took office. Other than the USAT story and a syndicated column written a year-and-a-half ago, we found none.

Even a more generic search for "Trump middle class" turns up mostly stories about how Trump's tax cuts supposedly aren't helping them. And how his trade war with China will hurt them.

Only Bad News For Middle Class The press was also happy to feature comments from Democrats bashing Trump. Such as this one from Sen. Elizabeth Warren: "The president and his administration have not just been indifferent to workers, they have launched an all-out attack on workers."

Reporters made no attempt to set the record straight on that lie.

Nor did the army of media fact checkers bother to correct Stacey Abrams, who in her response to Trump's State of the Union" painted a grim picture of the middle class under Trump.

It that speech, she declared that "families' hopes are being crushed by Republican leadership that ignores real life or just doesn't understand it." That "far too many hardworking Americans are falling behind, living paycheck to paycheck." She said the GOP tax cuts "rigged the system against working people." She said "plants are closing, layoffs are looming, and wages struggle to keep pace with the actual cost of living."

None if it is true. But for the most part, fact checkers simply overlooked it.

We may see more stories like this. AOC and her friends are a greater threat to their world than Trump is.

I’m only surprised that the USAT slime didn’t credit the revival to Obama “heroically rescuing the country from the Great Recession”.

Are you sure you’re not mistaking IBD for WSJ? Investors has been consistently pro-Trump AFAIK.

Maybe a father who no longer has to work three jobs just to afford his Obamacare?

I’m afraid you have IBD mistaken for another publication. Try reading our editorials for, oh, the past 2 years.

Know a guy who on the top tier of a MSM camera team. Always following POTUS or SOS or whoever.

I said to him “The ruling elite’s don’t care about the poor or the middle class, just the donor class.”

His jaw dropped, his eyes got big and he said “You get it!”

Talking to people at work, more and more I see people waking up but the brain dead still walk around us in great number.

I think the mainstream media has lost so much credibility due to alternative media and Trump’s tweets that they actually had to resort to occasionally telling the truth.

When the media and the democratic party are one and the same, then, we should be able to understand why the liberal media will not speak against the democrats’ talking points and actions. There is no fact-checking or correction of democrats by their democratic-party-owned media subsidiary. In fact, democrat politicians and office-holders, are often following the lead of their liberal media arm. The media sets their agenda.

“Oops! TWO WHOLE YEARS you’ve been backing President Trump? “

I’m with Diana on this one.

At the very least IBD was late to the party and in 2016 was decidedly pro Bush/Rubio and other Bush League Republicans.

But, to your credit, after the convention you were pretty solid.

Thank you for being aware.

it goes on to say:

To be sure, USA Today only mentions these gains so it can then paint a dark picture for the middle class on the horizon. Nevertheless, the fact that the paper was willing to admit to a middle-class revival under Trump is in itself newsworthy.

A newspaper finally reported something good about our President.

With that happy thought, I shall go to bed.

Goodnight

I once saw a CNN cameraman pause before entering an a abortion clinic where he was supposed to film a press conference.

He bowed his head as if he was praying, and steeling himself, before he walked in there.

I think we are eventually going to find out that a lot of those reporters at the El Paso rally are actually not like the others.
