Civil war warning: Immigration issue will tear America apart if we don’t split up peacefully now
The National Sentinel ^ | 1/21/19 | Jon Dougherty

Democrats, especially those vying for their party’s 2020 presidential nomination, have resolutely come out in opposition to POTUS Donald Trump’s extremely generous compromise offer on border security and immigration reform, proving once more they couldn’t care less about the safety and security of our country.

Even before the president finished laying out his proposal on Saturday, which included money for his sought-after wall along with border security technology (something Dems claimed all last week they supported) and three-year extentions for DACA recipients and others facing deporation, top Democrats including Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) were rejecting it.

Why? Because before any negotiations can begin on border security, Democrats insist, POTUS must cave and give in on his demands — which, of course, is an obvious political tactic aimed ultimately at giving the president (and the American people) nothing in terms of real border security.

This attitude was embodied by Sen. Kirstin Gillibrand (D-NY), who was in Iowa already this weekend for early campaign appearances.

“So, if the states do split, who is going to subsidize the Liberal states and their massive taxes? They would expect the Conservative states to continue doing that.”

Thats the beauty of the split up. The left gets all the goverment and free stuff they want but no one to pay for it. After they suffer and starve sitting in the dark, we can buy it all back for pennies on the dollar!

We then pass a Constitutional amendment that makes leftist goverment illegal to even advocate. I have always questioned the idea that to live free we must allow communists the feedom to speak and promote communism which in turn undermines the very freedom we are trying to protect. Yes I do believe communism can be defined in a way that advocation can be codified to be illegal yet completely preserve individual liberty. Commies lie and thus should not be allowed a seat at the table.

How’s that for food for thought?

Well good luck with all those problems you insist aren’t yours. Just curious, whatever makes you think New England would secede? Or is Virginia going to force New England to secede? Somehow. And whatever makes you think Virginia will secede? Enjoy Northern Virginia by the way. I’ve had to live there too and they won’t secede either. VA is barely red and you’ll still be a blue state, even without New England or CA. Methinks you should think this through, but whatever, your secession fantasies aren’t my problem either. Not going to happen so imagine anything.

Good posts, but so far no one has pointed out that the divide is between:

Payer - Payee
Producer - Taker
Adult - Child

Before war, I would spank the child and send him to bed without supper.

Also, Conservatives need to “man-up” and admit that they, too, have made Government Entitlements the “Third Rail” in politics. The GOPe that FR loves to criticize is largely in the position it is in on immigration because of this. Your “Social Seurity” check doesn’t come from any “Trust Fund”. It comes right out of the pay of some young man trying to start a family.

It won’t be limited to USA either.

WE are the lid on a hundred pressure cookers world wide.

If we remove ourselves from the playing field, the whole world will break out in scores of conflagrations.

Not firestorms, by definition a firestorm creates it's own updraft, drawing air from all directions, and therefore confining itself to a relatively small area.

A conflagration is a marching wall of flame sweeping across vast areas of land and fuel.

The Ravens should do much better in the NFC North with that arrangement. BTW, I’m glad Charm City was left at room temperature.

Well, I have to read Freepers saying there is going to be a civil war and I tell you how it could be avoided thru peaceful means, like the end of the USSR for example, I get a raft of doo doo. What makes me think you understand history? Obviously you don’t. I think you want a civil war and want violence. That’s ok but just be honest about it. I’m good with that too.

However, a triggering event, like the death of Justice Ginsberg,

That's unlikely to be the triggering event , IMNSHO. Her passing is not going to be a shock, both sides have contingency plans (on the democrat side, contingency plans a mile deep for gain in every step).

However, a triggering event, like the assassination of Donald Trump,

All bets are off. (the democrats, once again have a mile high stack of plans, the GOPe's is a single sheet of paper: 'bemoan, deplore, surrender'). The American people have other ideas that will include lampposts and rope for politicians.

JFK Tried very hard to change the country. He survived 2 years 10 months and 2 days.

Trump just started his second year.

Pray for Trump and our country.

Pray HARD.

I want a civil war? That’s rich. I’ve lived in 7 states and owned property in 3.

If you’re getting a “raft of doo doo”, well, a smart guy would know why.

I hear a lot about civil war and I want to say, it will be more of latin america style war from the 80s or the Yugo civil war of the 90s. Death Squads and cities destroyed. Neighbor killing neighbor. It will completely destroy this country. That is why a split is necessary and it will be needed. I Say start with California, not us in the State of Jefferson.

Thw Wall is the new War On Drugs. The perma-campaign, the Wedge, the Promise, the Fakeout. If the pols did their jobs, we wouldn’t need the wall.

OK, how do I "man up"? I worked for more than 40 years paying people's social security checks so I could retire. I had no choice. I was forced into the system. So now I should man up because some whiny kid doesn't like paying social security? I didn't like it either, for 40 years. Sure, privatize social security. I was all for it. Didn't come close to passing did it? Ideology is fine. There's also reality. I'm glad Trump wasn't stupid. He would have died on the social security hill.

There were a lot of poo pooers who wanted to stay under the thumb of the crown too. Didn’t want to rock the boat. Abhorred the violence that a fight for independence would bring. Were not willing to risk their fortune.

You naysayers are right. CW2 won’t start by the hands of anyone hoping for permanant worthwhile change. It’ll start because of a massive catastrophe. CME. EMP. Terrorist or hackers take down our grid. Dirty bomb. That will set it off. And the willing will be ready. Ive been to shithole socialist countries. Seen it first hand and am willing to fight to protect what we should have here. My BIL and his group of friends who did 3+ tours in the middle east and lived what we don’t want here. They are willing to fight. Most people won’t want to fight. They will talk down the people who are willing. Call us posers. Losers. Whatever. When it occurs, and it will, you betas just sit in the rear and let the willing do what needs to be done.

I agree that this is the type of resulting violence. You'll end up with marshal law and people will welcome it. Are you going to force California out? How's that going to work? Or is this just a fantasy?

Yep. Americans are so weak, they could never endure a Leningrad type of siege. It would turn into a scene from escape from New York only difference would be the innocent people would suffer the most.

I don’t disagree with any of your predictions. Of course people will chase socialism. Of course violence will come. Of course people will bring out their guns to fight and defend themselves. It’s the silly talk of slicing off large parts of the country that just ain’t gonna happen that’s absurd. And calling people who point this out betas ain’t going to change anything or make any secession nirvana happen.

I think you are right. A civil war, however bloody, is still better than the inevitable invasion of selected portions — think Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam — of the former United States by outside powers gloating over the self-destruction of a once proud nation.

Moreover, who would control the nuclear arsenal? Who would hold the tanks, the fighter aircraft, the personnel carriers? Who would control the Pentagon and the innumerable military contractors who manufacture the bombs and the critical spare parts for the armed forces? Even limited, partial dissolution would be a gigantic mess. Just no.

I don't think we're that close to outright civil war anyway. A noisy, arrogant, vile, small minority is causing nearly all of the problems. If push comes to shove, I suspect the problem will be relatively easy to smack down by forcibly arresting a few tens of thousands of far-left insurrectionists across the country. Tens of millions of armed, angry Americans will keep the surrounding unrest under control.

Optimism is warranted for other reasons as well, but I won't go into those now. ^_^

O.K. Then accept that illegals are being brought in by both parties to prop-up the Ponzi scheme and give you your “share of the loot”.

No skin off my nose. Just don’t cry about the pro-illegal-immigration GOP. You demand that the Entitlements be paid, and they’re just trying to find a way..

I don’t have to “accept” anything. All kinds of people have dark motivations for flooding the country with illegals. Paying for social security is only one of these schemes or rationalizations. Just don’t gripe about people who were forced for years to pay into social security to make yourself feel pure. What do you expect? People to say... never mind. I’m a pure conservative so just keep all that money I paid the government because I don’t believe in entitlements? Come on, get real. I voted for Trump and will again because he does real.
