Forgiveness also frees one from the bondage of guilt, which can lead to missing the mark in other areas of our lives.

The forgivness also can be received, or not. It is better to give than to receive - which is two sided. Person A asks forgiveness (giving), person B forgives person A (receiving & giving).

But... as the old cowboy preacher once explained to me “If you forgive someone who has sinned against you, that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to invite them over for dinner.”

Nice.

Repentance and forgiveness definitely expunge evil and guilt from our world.

I was raised to believe that it takes a big person to participate in that process...and an even bigger person emerges from its success.
