A fireman who joined France's Yellow Vest protest movement is in a coma after being shot in the head 'like a rabbit' by a police officer using a controversial flash ball gun.

Horrific images show Olivier Beziade, a father-of-three in his 30s, lying on the floor in Bordeaux on Saturday after being hit from behind.

He is wearing one of the high-visibility motoring jackets from which the Yellow Vests get their name.

Yes, that is Awful.
There’s been a number of protesters who have been seriously injured by police using less-than-lethal weapons.
Eyes shot out, and hands blown off.

Thanks. Reminds me of other tear gas grenade launchers. Then there were the AntiFa scum. Was this Phoenix?

Revolutions are not bloodless, people.

Remember that the next time someone opines about a “CW2”.

This stuff is not a game.

Riots against the gov for months. Gets shot. I'm supposed to feel sorry

Yeah. The government they're actually rioting against is the illegal EU and its ability to take control of their elected leaders. Maybe, just maybe, the French have some cultural and historical memory of why they don't want Germany controlling their future.

That shooting incident in Boston during a sports victory celebration? The young lady killed was from Bridgewater, MA (about 30 miles south of Boston, in its fan-sphere) and an undergraduate student. There was absolutely nothing negative in her background, just a girl out with her friends, celebrating an awesome Boston victory.

Rifled grenade launcher. Very accurate. I could put a rnd on the 2 inch lip of a tank hatch at 50m when I fired the M203 in the Army.

Lest some forget the riot catalyst was outrage over the Paris Carbon Accord fuel tax that was was shoved down the people’s throats: $49/gal by 2030.

Meanwhile, an American politician suggested that the violence seen in France could spread across the world if a carbon tax of $5,500 per ton (equal to $49 per gallon of gasoline or diesel) that a United Nationals special climate report called for in 12 years brought in.

‘If Paris streets burned over a proposed 25 cents per gallon climate change tax, imagine the global conflagration over a $49 per gallon tax,’ Chuck DeVore, the VP of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, says in an op-ed for Forbes.

‘Keep in mind that the unrest in France was triggered by a looming 25-cent hike, which is a little less than 10% more in taxes than French drivers already pay. To meet the $49 per gallon tax hike recommended by the U.N., fuel taxes in France would have to go up 17-fold.’

One word for your flip comment.
A-hole

Is it no wonder the people of France and europe are waking up real pissed about having a $49/gal tax on fuel shoved down their throats?

Seems France is now a murderous police state under Macron. Macron’s can now declare himself in the class of Kim Jun Il, Putin and Xi.

It’s a hard rubber ball. From a distance and could knock you silly. From a few feet it can crack your skull or take an eye out.
