Largest single group of migrants ever tunnels under border wall in Arizona, says Border Protection

The largest single group of asylum seekers ever to cross into the U.S. tunneled beneath the border wall near San Luis, Arizona, on Monday, voluntarily turning themselves into Customs and Border Protection... The agency says 179 of the record 376 people who crossed were children, including over 30 unaccompanied minors -- children under 18 traveling on their own.

"Parents with children now comprise over 80 percent of the total apprehensions of those crossing the 2,000-mile long border with Mexico. The vast majority of them, like the group near Yuma Monday, surrender immediately or seek out Border Patrol agents in order to begin the asylum process."

"One man in the group said he left Guatemala eight days ago and made most of the trip by bus along with his 12-year-old daughter. They were planning to leave the processing center destined for San Diego -- plane ticket in hand. The father said he saved about $5,000 to pay a coyote to quickly get them to the border. He left a wife and two younger daughters back in Guatemala." (Dad probably brought the older daughter along as his border pass.)

"CBP said 24 large groups -- quantified as 100 or more -- have crossed the border near Lordsburg, New Mexico, just since Oct. 1, 2018."

This crap will stop when the government pounds 1 inch hardened rebar into the ground every two inches apart.

I’d like to see the tunnel rats bore through that.

This is propaganda to undermine building a fence.

We are being invaded and colonized.

It is time we stopped it.

Return them to Mexico.

Mexico is letting them in.

RE: "The father said he saved about $5,000 to pay a coyote to quickly get them to the border."

Isn't it interesting that people from countries where they make about a buck fifty a day can save $5,000.00, but career government employees in America have to line up for free food two days after missing a paycheck!

"...tunnels beneath wall..."

I look forward to them providing manual labor to do that excavation.
Then we can promptly fill the tunnels with rebar steel and concrete.

The migrants are not supposed to tunnel under the wall!

It’s cheating, our laws and our wall.

That’s why there is a wall, and will be a wall.

This is what the caravans do at the North end of the trip.

Bring a kid as your Get Out of Jail/Into the USA Free Card.

It is an open door policy. “Coyotes” are becoming more like regular tour/travel companies. The guy interviewed already had his connecting flight from San Diego booked, as part of his trip.

Exactly. What may happen is that his daughter is property of the smugglers until the debt is paid off. We won’t know because a judge has ruled that we can’t detain them long enough to find out.

I look forward to them providing manual labor to do that excavation.

When motivated, they are fast workers too.

You start out by digging down deep for a propper foundation the entire length of our border. Easy peasy.

Photograph them, fingerprint them, load them on buses and ship them to the southernmost part of Mexico. No amnesty, no asylum, no medical care, no consideration of any freebies paid for by Uncle Sam.

Thjis in no way argues AGAINST the construction of a border barrier. If anything, it emphasized the need for both making the barrier more effective, AND for the other three factors to develop a strong national border, which are, the installation of monitoring devices which are actually BEING monitored, the deployment of squads of border patrol officers to make regular personal inspections of the fencing and report possible attempts at a breach, and finally the dispatch of armed and ready Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to capture and detain those who do manage to breach the wall in some manner.

There is a right way and a wrong way to gain access to the interior of the United States.
