Unless we have laws and policy that do not allow somebody to just claim asylum once inside our border, while we have a catch/release/fail-to-show-up-in-court problem, this isn’t a solution.
Unless there’s immediate deportation and the requirement of some proof asylum is appropriate catching all of them is irrelevant.
Will it work like the last virtual wall?
Will BP personnel look through goggles that portray that all is well in the virtual world while illegals walk by them?
“What happens when the power goes off?”
What happens when the Democrats get control of the power switch?
Meaningless. A virtual wall doesn’t mean a thing if all it does is detects them after they cross and directs border patrol onto them. They spend a few weeks in a detention center and get released with a court date 6 or 8 months away at the earliest.
A virtual wall? That’s just documenting the Mexicans as they arrive.
“Anduril’s technology helped border agents catch 55 people trying to cross into the US without authorization, US Customs and Border Protection told Wired last year.”
***And how many of the 55 were returned to Mexico?***
Those border agents also seized 982 pounds of marijuana in those arrests (though, Wired notes that 39 of the 55 individuals apprehended were not carrying drugs).
***Dumbasses, the Mexicans ARE the contraband. Every single one of them is required to pay 3 or 4 thousand to the cartel to cross the border on cartel turf.***
Andurils technology helped border agents catch 55 people trying to cross into the US without authorization, US Customs and Border Protection told Wired last year.
I’d like to see the data on how many people were NOT caught trying to cross into the USA while this technology was being utilized.
Fine. Build it in an online game where it can stop virtual invaders.
In the physical world, a physical wall is needed.
Stopping an invasion with a virtual wall is intellectually indistinguishable from keeping a deluge from a typhoon out of your house with a virtual roof.
Boeing already got $30 billion for their “virtual fence” and it amounted to squat. Ok Palmer, bring us a 1700 mile working prototype that we can demo for a few years, then we will tell you if we want one.
Didn’t Boeing already rip US off once with the promise of a virtual wall?
“I’m not a border wall, I’m a border monitor.”
DING! DING! DING!
We have a winner!!
