I am one of the approximately 700,000 so-called Dreamers now living in the U.S. For now, Im here legally because I am protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. But that protection may end soon, because DACA is being challenged in the courts.
And it might surprise you to know that Im also a supporter of President Trump. I believe it is vital that we focus on America's safety first and find the necessary resources for the Border Patrol to do its job effectively, while still giving people like me a chance to stay in the only country weve ever called home and loved.
As a result, I support the presidents call for a barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border. And I understand that he has promised to build a border wall or fence and feels duty-bound to fulfill his promise.
The DACA community is not asking to skip to the head of the line or to be granted citizenship immediately. All we want is a chance to earn citizenship while still being able to stay in this country by paying our taxes, serving our country, supporting our communities, and continuing to pledge allegiance to the only flag we have ever known and loved.
I am the first in my family to get a college degree. I hope to get an MBA in a few years, become an executive at a Fortune 500 company, and eventually become an American citizen who can contribute to the greatness of this country.
I didnt ask to come to the U.S. when I was a baby I was too young to talk. But I thank God I was brought here and grew up in the greatest country on Earth. I pray to God that I can stay.

Build the wall and allow DACA recipients like me to stay in America, the only country I know and love
Hilario Yanez is a Dreamer who was brought to the U.S. from Mexico as a baby in violation of immigration laws and is protected from deportation by the Deferred Action for Childhood Immigrants (DACA) program. He is a college graduate and works as a technology consultant.
build the wall, put the daca kids on the south side of it and be done with it.
Take your skills back to where you belong and improve your own tribe and peoples; otherwise, the sh#@hole will never get fixed.
Anyone notice these DACA “kids” are in their late 30’s early 40s..they are NOT lil biddy kitties they are adults who came here ILLEGALLY..send them back!
I’ll accept that deal.
Well Hilario Yanez, just because you have gotten away with it for so long doesn’t make it right. What makes you special that you don’t have to wait your turn like the one million per year legal immigrants. Go back to your country of origin and make life better for your countrymen and wait for a legal opportunity.
Build the wall and deport ALL illegal aliens, starting with the DACA parasites.
Sorry, amnesty isn't part of the deal on the table. Go home and wait your turn.
Build the wall, yes. Give you amnesty, NO! You can discuss your circumstances with your parents. It is not our problem, go home!
Keep dreaming...:)
That is a job that belongs to an American. What company? They should be boycotted out of business for their traitorous behavior.
How long has this dude been here? Probably plenty of time to become a citizen.
Well, bring your concerns to the Democratic party leaders.
Trump already offered last year a path to Citizenship to 1,800,000 DACA recipients in exchange for wall funding (almost double than the estimated 700,000 DACA recipients at the time).
Pelosi and Schumer became famous as being absent, the optic was Trump surrounded by two empty chairs with the Pelosi and Schumer names on them, at the meeting they were supposed to negotiate it.
Now for the shutdown, Trump has once again stated that he is receptive to a DACA deal, But Pelosi insists that NO DEAL will be made.
It is obvious that the Democratic party has no empathy for those in the DACA program, and that they are not willing to participate in a path to citizenship for them.
Apparently Trump is the only one that cares.. and funny, he gets called a racist for it.
I want a Constitutional “wall” around our money:
SECTION 1. Federal employer/income taxation may be levied at no more than 120% of existing rates. Federal employer/income taxation limits/rates/rate thresholds may be changed by no more than 1/20th in any year.
SECTION 2. A federal statutory financial imposition may only be levied/increased under then existing law or with the same day approval of at least two-thirds of the members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
SECTION 3. All amounts collected from Federal estate taxation shall be used to pay down the existing national debt and that distinctly refinanced, or refunded.
SECTION 4. There shall be no multi-state/federal wealth or property taxation except that estate taxation and real property taxation in what is now the District of Columbia.
SECTION 5. The federal government shall not issue loans or except, via limited liability corporations set up under federal law without recourse to the Treasury, guarantee debt other than of the general national debt.
SECTION 6. No person may be elected or otherwise placed into a Constitutional office for a subsequent term while the national debt of the United States exceeds $25 trillion.
SECTION 7. The President shall have line item veto power.
Go home. Get in the back of the line and apply legally.
Unless you ever received any government assistance while you were here, in which case just go home.
I am not at all surprised that bums love the places that give out handouts and it doesn’t cause me to hold bums in esteem.
He forgot to mention build the wall and secure the border in his summation.
Reagan accepted a similar deal...
not this time.
Yep, I will take that deal too, as long as they aren’t gang-bangers or criminals.
But wall first, then we can start processing DACA recipients into bonafide immigration programs when it’s finished.
