A suspected drunken driver accused of killing a California police officer who pulled him over was captured Friday as he tried to flee back to Mexico, where he lived before illegally crossing into the U.S., authorities said. The sheriff leading the investigation blamed California's sanctuary law for preventing local authorities from reporting Gustavo Perez Arriaga to U.S. immigration officials for two previous drunken driving arrests. If he had been deported, the sheriff said, Cpl. Ronil Singh of the tiny Newman Police Department would still be alive. "We can't ignore the fact that this could have been preventable," Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson told reporters, asking why the state was "providing sanctuary for criminals (and) gang members. It's a conversation we need to have." Following a statewide manhunt, Perez Arriaga was arrested on a murder warrant in a house near Bakersfield, about 200 miles (320 kilometers) southeast of where Singh was shot Wednesday.

Last night our local news was doing a ‘2018 Re-Cap’ of all the big stories of the year.
140+ police officers killed in the line of duty this year! Totally unacceptable!
A local officer got on and actually told the TRUTH that many of these deaths are in direct relation to cops having to be too ‘PC’ and the Bad Guys don’t fear authority in the least, anymore.
So sad. :(
The officer also discussed that recruiting is way, WAY down and the stats for career Police Officers dying on the job before the age of 50 (Life is just starting!) is on the rise. :(

I went to court with my son after he got a speeding ticket. Both guys up before him were illegals. They were both speeding 30 mph over the speed limit, had no licence or registration. Both were released with no charge or fine. My son was 10 mph over the limit and was given points and a $200 dollar fine and warned the he could lose his license if he did it again.

Either or both of those illegals will probably kill somebody on the road sooner or later.
Police Corporal Singh was not murdered by a single illegal alien.
He was murdered by a mob of power-hungry Democrats who value political power
far, far more than the well-being of ordinary, hard-working Americans who play by the rules.
May God give the Democratic party, not what they want and pursue, but what they richly deserve.

Fox's Ed Henry was able to corroborate that Cali's usual suspects,
"tolerant and compassionate Democrats" Ted Lieu, Kamala Harris, Feinstein and Pelosi
made no public statements WRT the killing of Cpl Singh.
Did they offer condolences to his family?
Hey, Sherriff, if someone got one of your cops killed arrest the sonofabitch.
The time for conversation has long past.
The left doesn’t care about a slain deputy any more than they care about Kate Steinle or any other number of victims at the hands of illegals.
There’s too much at stake for them and their revolution.
The only way this gets resolved is by use of force.
Also the Sherrifs that are against the sanctuary laws should refuse to enforce them. If they stand up against them we will follow. Or we should stand up and they’d better follow.

The politicians in California (who are probably pissed anyway because three of their voters got caught) are going to make the sheriff’s life a living Hell. You don’t cross Stalin and stay out of the Gulag.
