Bear in mind, that in Assad’s Syria a woman could dance to music on Latakia Beach, while drinking Syrian made wine, drive her car home, check into a hotel without a man’s permission, complete the trip home, go to work wearing whatever she pleased, and marrying and divorcing who she pleased. Oh, and not to lay it on too thick she could also go visit a synagogue or a Christian Church.
