Went and donated anyway. Great way to make a statement.

Exactly. It is a slap in the face to a perpetual do nothing Congress. Trump needs to push this and encourage it and give it credibility by EO. It would work in his favor.

A billion dollars to the NRA would probably work to win enough of some particular elections to secure our Second Amendment rights and other rights in 2020.

The same NRA that has championed restrictions on guns and gun accessories since its inception?.........hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

That's a good one.

It’s our country, it’s not the governments

Really funny. My credit card company asked me to confirm if my donation to this Go Fund Me for ONLY $6.00 was valid. Capital One is known to be liberal, but I had no choice since they bought out Cabela's Visa. Something has to be done about this liberal onslaught. It has GOT to stop.

When I posted this story I did not intend for people not to donate. I also did not post it in breaking news. The mods moved it there.

The Federal Government has accepted gifts forever.

A person I was researching gave $200,000....circa 1845.

The kids said he was senile.

The only problem, he deeded land to each of them in the same will and momma got her dower

The judge told the kids...in my own words..."You're kidding right?? When he gave YOU land he must have been senile, too. So he was only senile during that $200,000 part of the will?

If they can’t make sure the money goes to the wall, perhaps it should be used to reward people who turn in employers who hire illegals. Maybe if the cheap labor express found out hiring illegals was a very costly thing they might change their minds.

Only pay out reward once it’s proven the employer knew. I believe the penalty is $10,000 per employee. Start advertising the American people are offering cash rewards for turning in employers

There is an office at the Department of the Treasury in DC *specifically* set up to accept, and process,"gifts" made to the US Government.

"Gifts",in this case, meaning funds sent to the US Government that are not owed, under law,to the Government.

I've read that there *are* people who do that. The story I read a few years back suggested that it's often immigrants who, having done well in this country, show their gratitude by donating money to the Government.

“even as he expressed reservations about allowing private citizens to govern with their wallets.”

You mean this Congressman doesn’t know that with every campaign contribution he accepts he gives the appearance of governing with their wallets, as do all the rest.

Lets face it, we wouldn’t be criticizing them if they had half a brain.

I saw a picturre of Sammay Hagar (musician) side-by-side with Bill Clinton. Sammy looked like he’s in his late 50’s but is actually now 71. He looked well rested and smiling and vibrant. Bill looked like a hollowed out shell. He is 72.

It was from last year. The caption read “One of these two is 70, spent years with drugs, wild sex, lots of women, and a punishing brutal lifestyle. The other is 71 as sleeps next to Hillary Clinton.”
