IHOP is joining the mass of advertisers abandoning Fox News host Tucker Carlson's show after his controversial comments about immigration last week.
"At our core, we stand for welcoming folks from all backgrounds and beliefs into our restaurants and continually evaluate advertising to ensure it aligns with our values," IHOP said in a statement to Business Insider.
"In this case, we will no longer be advertising on this show."
At least 12 advertisers have stopped advertising on the show since last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter, whichfirst reported the news that IHOP was cutting ties with Tucker Carlson's show.
Last Thursday, Carlson said in a segment that the US needed more "scientists and engineers," as the country seeks to fill automated and tech-centered jobs.
"Instead we're getting waves of people with high school educations or less. Nice people, no one doubts that, but as an economic matter this is insane. It's indefensible, so no one even tries to defend it," he said.
"Instead our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this. We have a moral obligation to admit the world's poor, they tell us, even if it makes our country poorer and dirtier and more divided."

IHOP doesn’t have scattered and smothered hash browns.
IHOP: Illegals’ House of Pancakes.
So I assume ihop would be cool with people breaking in during hours when they are closed, and helping themselves to a reasonable amount of food and cash?
We should send a clear message to "the backs"...that I-hop is now fair game and fine-pickins
I’m 64 years old and have been to IHOP once. Pretty sure I can resist them some more.
Yawn. Village Inn is better anyhow.
I thought they changed their name to IHOB.
So long “I Hop to the call of liberals”.
I no longer hop their way.
Who cares? None of these boycotts worked. Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh even Alex Jones are around.
Heck even Bill O. is at his website and Eric Billing is at The Blaze TV. Gavin is another story. Gavin is finding a new home. Also Michael Savage being muscled out but doing a podcast. See what happens there.
Eric Bolling I meant and also The Savage situation was not a boycott but syndication deal expiring and cutting hours. So he is starting a podcast.
I never did like their pancakes!!
People who charge $15 for a mediocre ‘breakfast’ ...
(while using illegal immigrant labor)
Not the most trustworthy people to comment about whats good for america
I quit that sh*+hole restaurant after they served me cold pancakes. I sent them back and told the server not to bring me any pancakes from a warming drawer. I wanted them hot off the grill.. I said since pancakes is the flagship product here, its in the name, that was a reasonable request. She brought me more from the drawer, not hot, butter wouldnt melt and they delaminated as I tried to spread the butter. I told the manager I can get better cakes at Perkins and they dont even have pancakes as part of their name. I paid for the eggs and never went back. Now this. FUIHOP.
Yeah. Same here. It’s hard to boycott a place you don’t use anyway.
When I lived in Seattle, IHOP was known as the place where homosexuals hooked up.
I can’t imagine IHOP will last much longer. The last time we went their prices were outrageous and service sucked!!!
Haven’t been in a IHOP since 1964
Well then...the boycott goes further. I will no longer visit IHOP. If I were IHOP execs, I’d take a look at Dicks Sporting Goods stock.
