Severe depression and anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder are some of the increasingly prevalent and least-understood mental health disorders among K-12 students.
Who's really surprised that this heathen, liberal state's children are experiencing mental health issues?
Ping
So we’ll have mentally ill people evaluating children. And I mean that literally. This is a major step down the road to 1984.
With ‘conservative leanings’ being defined as a dangerous mental illness, of course!
I wonder what % of these students will eventually be prevented from owning firearms based on these “exams.” Just a coincidence, I’m sure.
Mental health is too subjectine and easy to politicize. A kid’s observed behavior and ability to function tells all we need to know. The state’s approach will only get more children on psychiatric drugs.
If you don’t accept dickchopping as the latest greatest thing since sliced bread you’ll be thrown in a house of detention and prevented from getting a job or social security benefits.
You will conform to the new rules. Bow down and say “yes, master.”
Just a few questions... Do you have guns at home, doesn’t matter if in safe or not? Is anyone in your home a Christian? Do you go to church? Do you have drugs at home? Does your family believe in anthropological global warming (or global warming or climate change)? Does anyone in your family express support for the president? Does anyone in your house express negative comments toward immigrants, homosexuals, gender-confused people? Are you encouraged to explore and express yourself through crossdressing and body mutilation?
Yup, too much toxic masculinity and normal childhood behavior which needs 'correcting'.
Just move the kids to a red state-—————problem solved.
.
I’ve heard the midwest and southern larts of the country have occasional outbreaks of Christianity, and terrible problems with rampant patriotism disorder. Good thing the schools can help these children.
I hope there are enough intelligent people in Or to take this idea and stuff it up the backsides of any group of jerks who are proposing or suggesting this be done. This is beyond Nazism. People who think this way need be exiled from the country. I mean that literally as they have gone beyond anything that US Citizenship stands for.
All of them.
First step to the Hitler Youth.
Back in the 60s, they used the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, how’s that for psychobabble?) on us regularly. Back then, I thought nothing of it. But now, looking back, I resent it. At least back then it didn’t go into anyone’s database. They just filed them away and chucked them after they needed room for other files.
It seems to me that the more that a school relies upon mental health professionals, the more mental health issues are discovered, and the more violent and suicidal incidents happen.
I seem to recall somewhere that Oregon has one of the largest contingents (per capita) of mental health professionals.
So when they find a mentally ill child, then what?
Lock them up?
Medicate them?
Lobotomize them?
Extra indoctrination?
They are not treating the truly mentally ill folks today.
Maybe they just take their brain, and record 75 years of permanent Dem votes.
What we really need is for all government officials and employees to be drug tested every month.
...and then what STANDARDS are used for the ‘evaluation’? Are you considered psycho if you like guns, if you’re conservative? Do you get on some list if they don’t like your answers?
I’ve told my kids in the past, when they were young, that they must learn to LIE TO AUTHORITIES, with authorities being basically any adult in their lives (except their parents, of course). Give them the answers needed to keep them off your back. For example, I always recommend telling little kids that if they ever mention their parents yelling or spanking them - they get new parents! They must lie. That is what you get with the Left in charge.
