Newtown Police say a bomb threat caused Sandy Hook Elementary School to be evacuated.
Thursday, there were a rash of bomb threats throughout the country, but police say they arent related, and that todays threat was specific to the school.
Police say that the school was evacuated, and a sweep was conducted. The superintendent decided that in the best interest for the faculty and students, it would be best to dismiss them for the day.
Police do not believe it was a credible threat, but they are still investigating where it came from.
Is this the same school of the shooting? Because I thought they tore down that school? Did they rebuild it, and give it the same name?
Yes, it was torn down.
Its the sixth anniversary of the shooting today. Throw in a threat and of course theyll cancel the remainder of the day.
They rebuilt a big fancy dancy new school with all those millions of government freebies (your tax dollars) and millions from gofundme, China, United Way, etc. and kept the original name.
This has happened three times the past year where most of my Grandkids go to school. Probably kids who didn’t have their homework done on time. Unfortunately there are actually parents out there who would also find this funny.
Time for “bomb free zone” signs now so this will never happen again then?
Yup, yesterday it was Columbine and 2 other High Schools, and several businesses here in Colorado.
Or a teacher behind in her Christmas shopping?
PING
Sandy Hook.
Gee. That isn’t anything like the Colorado when I lived there.
