No, we won’t. We’ll let the liberals starve.

Your exmples are “in theory”......hard to conceive that ever happening.

Please excuse the absurdity, the point I intended was that it's all up to whatever Congress decides is good enough. Grounds for impeachment is determined by the House vote, and grounds for removal upon impeachment are determined by the Senate vote. Congress decides what constitutes high crimes and misdemeanors as implied in the Constitution, and expresses that decision by voting.

So there's no requirement or justification for anything plausible, because sufficient enough votes gets it done.

“supposedly it is a prophecy given to George Washington”

You can be sure that it is made up.

I pretty much agree. If I had to bet, I’d bet that the House will impeach Trump, but the Senate will not convict. So Trump remains president.

But...back in 1974 many Republican senators were ready to vote to convict Nixon. And that’s why Nixon resigned. So anything is possible, especially since Trump is hated by the Deep State much worse than Nixon ever was.

I hear DU has plenty of committed protesters. You might want to give them a try.

He might be impeached by the Democratic House. There is no way he will be convicted by a Republican Senate.

I agree that the numbers aren't there in the Senate to convict him.

However, if he were to be indicted or somehow removed from office, I don't think it would go over very well.

While I think that the majority of conservatives and Trumpers would not revolt, a small number would.

It's probably much less than 1% of the French middle class who are disrupting France right now. Would it be more or less in the US? Numerically, it would be many more.

The US infrastructure is very very vulnerable, and the conservatives and Trumpers who the Democrats will anger know how things work. They know how to fix things. And unfix them.

Their knowledge and skills are why they have jobs.

It would be an unnatural political event to impeach Trump given that even his ardent followers realize that, in a life before politics, Trump was not any paragon of virtue nor did he attempt to pose as one. He entered politics because of a realization gained from his years of business dealings and high society interactions that the country was being dragged down by a corrupt elite. He was voted into office to fight that corruption. So if the corrupt themselves turn on him with an attempt to impeach, in political terms it means nothing except an effort to maintain the corruption.

Prosecuting the likes of the Clintons, Obamas and Soros however would be a natural political act because their corruption led to the current mess, and justice demands its day.

The theme that I think the President should sound is not only “the people would revolt,” which is likely true, at least that half who support the President, but also, “it is time then for all legal matters to be pursued, I have held back in the interests of national unity, but if they go forward, then so shall we.”

For there must surely be a very good case for prosecution of many leading Democrats for their past wrongdoing.

They must be made aware that if they open one door, another will surely open, and if it’s justice they want, it will be justice that they shall receive.

This must go forward within the legal process however, anyone rallying for an actual CW2 scenario is at this point acting prematurely, first let the matters come to trial under the legal system, but make sure that it is the real legal system and not the faux regime partially in place after the Obama usurpation.

Trump as usual is playing rope a dope with the dimwits! This is basically a challenge to them to waste their time and distract them from destroying this country even further. Great strategery!

The thought occurred to me, if Trump were somehow successfully impeached, then Pence becomes President for some period of time. Some might give him a month or two to respond, before taking any action themselves. After all, if he goes after the Democrats from his legal position, what is the point of rebellion? I think the politics of a late 2019 or early 2020 impeachment might be to conflate the protest with the political process of the 2020 election. But as several have commented, the Senate is unlikely to vote for impeachment even if the House does so. This makes it more of a political stunt, and should be framed as a waste of time since it probably shows that the Democrats have no actual policies of their own to push forward, other than chaos and anarchy. Might as well vote communist if that’s what a voter wanted.

I mean.... really.... How can folks be encouraged to hit the street in revolt when not a single action has been taken by our leader. Oh... maybe that Sessions has resigned. That's it.

That isn't an actual scalp. Where are the indictments for criminality against this administration? There are none. So, why should anybody hit the street. Show me some bold action first. Isn't the president the chief law enforcement officer?

What the hell am I revolting against when I don't see a damn thing by people who actually have the power. All I see are bitching tweets. Sorry.

Another cucked NPC I see

Before 2016 the rule of law which insured
social unrest would be managed kept
a lid on protests fairly well

Since Trumps rise his acolytes right wingers of all kinds and even feds
Like Border Patrol and ICE have been set upon
and accosted violently by BLM Antifa etc and censored off social media while Sleepy Sessions and lib law enforcement stood down the “rules” have changed

You ain’t seen nothin yet

Sow the wind reap the whirlwind
