Why 150,000 doctors, others wrote to oppose Trump’s proposed change in immigration rule

More than 150,000 doctors, health care organizations and others have flooded the Federal Register with comments condemning a Trump administration plan that would make it harder for immigrants to maintain their legal residency status if they seek federal assistance for food, health care or housing.

Non-citizens are not eligible for that assistance. If they attempt it, they have violated the terms of their presence. Deport to country of origin.

It is all about the bastards keeping the money from our pockets flowing to thiers and the massive number of foreign born doctors here with their extended family in tow.

It is very hard not to hate the medical monopoly.

Re: Why 150,000 doctors oppose Trump’s immigration rule

That’s easy...

Because 30% of USA doctors and surgeons are foreign born!

I wonder how many people in foreign countries die each year because their native born doctors immigrate to the USA, the UK, and other prosperous countries?

By the way - Ted Kennedy’s Immigration Act of 1965 allows UNLIMITED immigration for foreign medical doctors.

Also - I saw an ad on Drudge yesterday for a Caribbean med school that claims 96% of their graduates get a medical internship or residency in the USA.

Re: “Non-citizens are not eligible for that assistance.”

If only....

Asylum, refugee, and TPS immigrants are eligible. In fact, most of them get work authorization, too.

Children under 18 and pregnant women are eligible for everything.

Green Card holders are eligible for everything. When their elderly parents arrive through chain migration, the parents are eligible for Supplemental Security Income (which is Social Security for people who do not have 40 quarters of contributions) and Medicaid (instead of Medicare).

And this is, and has ALWAYS been the reason that our health insurance premiums have been going up far beyond any explicable economic explanation for 10-15 years. They blame it on the baby boomers, but it has also coincided with a vast increase in new arrivals of “refugees” and illegal immigrants.

Not only do we as taxpayers get hit for the women, children, refugees, etc. who are inexplicably allowed to apply for these programs...we also pay on the other end for the uninsured who just “show up” at the emergency room due to increased overall costs.

Say an illegal gets in an accident, shot, stabbed, has a heart attack...whatever. They are provided the exact same treatment as those of us who pay 10K plus a year for heath insurance. We’ve all seen stories where these parasites have transplants, dialysis, etc. They don’t pay a dime...the hospital considers it “charity care” and just adds it to the “expense” line at the end of the year at the full retail price. They provide NO charity...their paying customers are the ones who cover it in increased costs.

It’s not that hard to figure out.

Yup. True that. I work in a hospital here in southern NJ and 9 out of 10 of the doctors are all East Indian and Pakistani.

Those 150.000 doctors should send letters
to the thousands of homeless vets
explaining why illegals deserve
precedence over their needs.

Document all 150,000, select a family from the millions that are here, no matter their status, and drop them off of the front porch. Have them hand their new family members a letter from the government detailing that since they are so supportive of these people, when it involves using money stolen from other people, they can now foot the bill, all by themselves. They can even receive certain tax benefits from housing, feeding and caring for their new roommates, but they will now be responsible for everything.

Most doctors work long hours and are too busy to write letters.

What happens is that doctors who dislike patients end up going into policy making, or the business side of medicine, and end up running organizations that claim to represent doctors.

So one of them writes one letter and claim they represent everyone in the organization.

I saw this scam when the AAFP supported Obamacare, without bothering to ask any of us about it. I wrote them a letter and they seemed surprised that I objected.

And all you doctor haters on FR seem to think we have an easy life. How many of you get up at 4am to deliver a baby, or run to help in the ER when there is a major car wreck.

Well.... According to google there are 1.1 million doctors practicing in the United States... So that’s roughly 10 percent... Meaning 90% didn’t sign on to this.

I very much doubt that you could get “150 000 doctors” to do anything, much less post comments in the Federal Register.

“Organizations representing 150 000 doctors” I could believe, since there are no medical lobbies that represent any actual doctors that I know of. “150 000 doctors and others”, where the others are 148 500 and the doctors are 1500, that I could believe. Or, 150 000 “doctors” of sociology, women’s studies, and world peace studies, sure.

But 150 000 doctors - of medicine - not a chance.

Send the bill to the 150K a-holes who oppose the common sense course of kicking non-American leeches off of welfare.

Or, send the bill directly to the root of this problem, the most likely reason non-American leeches gain access to the country in the first instance: the politicians and their sycophants that in spirit and actual behavior advocate little or no enforcement of our borders.

It’s so much easier to commit Medicaid fraud if you have a cooperative disappearing clientele. This is the nature of the B Sac Tabloid.
