Progressives have *always* disdained the Constitution. It is in their very DNA. It is how they have defined themselves.

"Progressivism" was/is based on the idea the Constitution was/is outdated and irrelevant.

We must repeal the 17th Amendment to have a congress that works once again like the Framers intended.

House & the Super-House

Great term. As such, where the farm team for the senate used to be its electors (state legislatures), today's House is the primary source of senators. They bring their mob antics to a once respected and deliberative institution. Begone the 17th!

Budget bills should not take 60 votes to pass.

he can’t stand watching good bills pass a “hyper-partisan House” and then be stymied by the Senate, which is disproportionately weighted by congresspeople in small states.

Then he knows nothing of how our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution and our form of government. It's one of the main reasons we're still standing after close to 250 years.

The Senate is a "check" specifically against a "hyper-partisan" House. It's one of the things that prevents crazy, hyper-partisan bills from steam-rolling opposing parties.

No doubt, he'd be clamoring to get the Senate back if Republicans had a 40 or 50-member lead in the House. Then, he'd be all about checks and balances.

Fix things one step at a time. All the best. IPA tastes like piss. Give me a good Lager or Pilsner.

“The Longest-Serving Congressman In History Wants To Abolish The Senate”

for some reason though, he’s not suggesting the House be abolished ...

These seem like good solutions. The only problem being with those who would necessarily have to approve these & make them into law.

The man is basically against the concept of Constitutional Government; in clear denial of the intended nature of our Federal Union.

The purpose was never to even allow the social engineering, the Left seeks.

Majority Rule?

Reason Or Compulsion?

First, Mr. Dingell, you have to do away with the Constitution. It must first be abolished, a dream of a lot of democrats. John D. Dingell is a democrat of the first order, proven by the fact that he doesn’t want to live by the document that created this beautiful counrty. Without the constitution, there would be mayhem, perhaps what the democrats want.

I live in St Louis. Boston commercial says to let your beer warm up. I don’t think so.
Locally Schlafly and Civil Life brew a good lager. Kraftig is good, Warsteiner from Germany and, yes, Stag. Otherwise, it’s Tequila (1800) or Jameson’s.

Boston lager?

Made by Sam Adams who’s parent company is pro gay marriage, and had threatened to stop sponsoring the South Boston St. Patrick’s day parade unless gays and other deviants were allowed to march in the parade.

Haven’t had a drop of that ‘rat piss since.... Eff ‘em.

Speaking of good beer....Southern Comfort has always been one of my favorites—I know it’s not beer—bought a couple bottles lately, noticed it had new black labels, but wtf!

Turns out it’s not real SoCom anymore!!!!!

Long story short...they still have the Original Southern Comfort w/the old labels.

Unknown: Original SoCom just wtf they had in stock when they changed/and/or will they discontinue OriginalSoCom when they get their new stuff going and customers conditioned???
