Think about it. Are we being our best? Or are we just being passive, hoping our elected officials will restore freedom?

The post is long and admittedly I quickly scanned it. Nevertheless, I did not see where this guy is relocating to for his new found freedom. Anyone know?

A 12 year old has a tantrum about a system he doesn’t understand.

Got it.

Modern capitalism is not described by economic theory. It is described by chaos theory — which does not mean it is chaotic, it means it is a complex system.

Biggest beef seems to be he didn’t like school. Oh well. Write when you find a place where “structure” isn’t important.

” liberal encroachment on traditional American values under President Obama”

then why didn’t they leave under obama years? Trump now president. What has this ranter done to stop the problems? Ranter is a wimp, stand and fight. Running away resolves nothing because you take your cowardliness with you and situation will arise some time again.

Isn’t that cute. Another 22 year old figures out that the world is not run by Mr. Rogers. And all us ex-hippies everywhere rejoice.

May I suggest moving to Haiti, or perhaps Mexico. Maybe Columbia or France. ;)

The best suggestion would be to read the bible. Start with Genesis. You’ll get a feel for what’s going on in this age.

All the best!

Unless this guy finds some island/reef in the Pacific, with less than ten people on it...I don’t see him resolving his ‘search’.

I’ll admit to faults in the US system, but when you start traveling (I’ve been to 20-plus countries in my life), you just don’t find that many with all the pluses that exist in the US.

Please read this rant with an open mind. This guy is frustrated with the liberal encroachment on traditional American values under President Obama, and he decided to bail.

I'm not going to condemn anyone for choosing to live where they wish - life is short, and everyone has the right to make the best of it that they can.

But too many people who say they're opposed to liberalism choose to withdraw or leave rather than stay and fight for what they believe in - that's why America is now in the shape that it's in.

Example: conservatives who disapprove of the public school system withdraw from it and send their kids to private schools or home-school them - good for their kids in the short-term, but the public schools become pest-holes of left-wing political indoctrination with too few parents pushing back - and the kids of the private/home schoolers still emerge into an adult world filled with peers who have been indoctrinated in those public schools.

If you keep running, maybe you find a better life for yourself, but you reduce the chances for your kids finding a better life for themselves - liberalism is a disease that spreads unless resisted and soon enough there will be nowhere left to run.

Does he understand that living on a boat in the Caribbean can be very dangerous with evil people with guns out to kill you and take all you have?

That if he has a weapon on board there are many ports (if not most) where he cannot enter? Or if he does enter, he can have his weapons seized and be jailed by another nation that exerts even more control than ours?

My uncle lived on his sailboat in the Caribbean in the ‘80’s and was well-armed, before both the bad guys increased and the nations outlawed on-board weapons in ports......most of the US is still the safest place on the planet.......

Sounds like a quitter. Exactly the type of person that liberals count on to take over. Liberals know that if they are relentless in their pursuits, that there will be those that just decide to pack it in and quit.

Quitters actually benefit both sides: liberals get their way with those that can’t handle it, and republicans/conservatives are left stronger.

“I see no value in your Federal Reserve Notes, and I sure as hell don’t owe you any. Your debts are not my own. Your battles are not mine to fight. I will not allow you to enslave me any longer.”

Another idiot libertine tax protester. Good luck with that - enjoy the time in prison.

So, it’s apparently been seven years since this, what, manifesto was blogged. How’s our intrepid would-be expat faring adrift in the Caribbean? Still there, or back in the US, back in the US, back in the US with tail tucked and enduring mockery?

I will not support the use of aggressive coercion as a solution to social problems, even implicitly by voting or paying taxes.>>>>>

There you have it. He realized the crux of Liberal Fascism.
All of America should have this realization.

And here is how it happened: ( a really good read)

Lots of great places to live, but every place has trade-offs in: corruption, rule of law, safety, standard of living, freedom to worship as you see fit... etc., etc.

One of my ancestors came on the Mayflower to worship freely. Others came as immigrants to escape evil regimes.

Most never leave.

Nor do they have a backup plan.

Choices.

Make one and choose to be happy where you land.

I support the freedom to choose and vote with your feet.

I wish him well

The problem is choice.

The writer doesn't want us to have it and is a Socialist or Communist at heart.

I'd let him go in peace.
