Trump has shown strong leadership as commander in chief on this issue. But there is one issue that even the military cannot solve: our own legal masochism. The caravan is now suing us in our own federal courts. If the Trump administration even legitimizes this lawsuit by sending DOJ attorneys to defend the case rather than simply treating this potential judge as a lawbreaker of all judicial precedent, no army in the world can stop the invasion by lawfare.

But if the terrorists push their way into the U.S., Mattis, Sessions, Pompeo, Nielsen, and Trump are politically burnt toast to the MAGA voters who elected them to stop the illegal invasions. And no spindoctoring will change that.

We need a new branch of the military—The Border Guard. They would Patrol a zone 25 miles along the borders. What good is a wall if its not manned? Russia has such a force—so do other lands. A permanent chain of forts, walls and roads, villages and landing strips. The force would have slow old aircraft, drones, Cavalry, Armored Cars and light tanks. Crossing the zone should be a 25 year sentence to labor on the wall and the zone.
