My answers:

1. Outside of standard benefits, what benefits should a company offer employees?

- That should be negotiated between employer and employee, without governmental interference. The main benefit should be the opportunity to contribute something of value and to learn, in return for competitive pay.

2. What should the national minimum wage be?

- Either “It’s fine now” or “Americans would be better off without a minimum wage that prices low-skill workers completely out of jobs”.

3. How many sick days should be given to employees?

- I would prefer that sick people not come in and pretend to work, and that they not come in while contagious. A reasonable number of days off is in the interest of both employer and employee, and both parties should negotiate the number of sick/vacation days per year, where those days can be used interchangeably.

4. How often should employees get raises?

- Employees should get raises as often as merited by their work and by the competitive marketplace where they could find other jobs if their current pay is not competitive.

5. How do you feel about guns?

- That depends. Both sides have valid points. It hardly matters whether they side with the .45 ACP shooters or the 9 mm fans, as long as they have a thoughtful opinion. Those who are older or smaller can even make a good case for .380 and for .22 mag or .22 LR. Similarly, I don’t care much if the person is a shotgunner or more of a long rifle shooter. Diversity is our strength in that context.

6. What are your feelings about employees or clients carrying guns?

- The more good people who carry, the less danger normal people face from leftists.

7. What are your feelings about safe spaces in challenging work environments?

- I’m a big fan of safe spaces. The best way to create a safe space is for a majority of workers to carry.

8. In a creative environment like The Silent Partner Marketing, what do you envision work attire looking like?

- Long-sleeve shirt and tie for men in white-collar jobs, and comparable attire for women.

9. Should “trigger warnings” be issued before we release content for clients or the company that might be considered “controversial”?

- the only appropriate trigger warning is “The Line is Hot”, and that warning should be given at the end of every “Cease Fire”.

10. How do you feel about police?

- Most police are good, hard-working people. They should be given respect until they prove they do not deserve it. A very small number of bad cops make the news. They should be sent to prison if they commit serious crimes.

11. If you owned the company and were to find out that a client is operating unethically but was a high paying client…how would you handle it?

- I’ve been in that situation, and I cut off the business relationship. A man who will cheat others will cheat you, and I can find plenty of honest business from people I trust and respect.

12. When was the last time you cried and why?

- “My father’s death”. Representative good answers: “cancer diagnosis”, “when Old Yeller died”, or “well, I took my entire gun collection out in my fishing boat, and . . . “.

13. You arrive at an event for work and there’s a major celebrity you’ve always wanted to meet. What happens next?

- I conduct myself professionally. I’m there to do my job.

14. What’s your favorite kind of adult beverage?

- Bad answers: anything distinctively Starbucks or containing soy, anything that sounds like virtue signaling. One answer that recently proved to be good: “I liked beer. I still like beer.”

15. What’s the best way to communicate with clients?

- That depends on the purpose of the communication. Some client communications should be in writing by letter, some email, some phone, and some face-to-face. The best way is to decide which method is appropriate for the purpose and content of that communication.

16. What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?

- Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, shooting, archery, leather working, woodworking, or just about anything active and outdoors or that requires physical coordination and skill.

17. What are your thoughts on the current college environment as it pertains to a future workforce?

- It’s still possible to get a good education in college. I chose classes to learn, not to be indoctrinated, so college worked out well for me.

18. What’s your typical breakfast?

- Bacon and eggs, cereal and toast, or pancakes. Always with coffee/tea/juice. Good answers do not include the word “organic” and do not indicate any eating disorders.

19. What’s your favorite drink when you go to a coffeehouse?

- Coffee. Why else would I go to a coffeehouse?

20. How do you handle bullies?

- I don’t get bullied, and I don’t tolerate bullying of others in my presence. They tend to back down immediately when advised to do so.

21. How do you handle it when your ideas are shot down?

- I prefer to understand why my idea is being shot down. If the time and situation permit, I want to learn so I won’t present another similarly flawed idea. Otherwise, I just move on. I’m here to solve problems, not to fall in love with my own ideas.

22. What do you do if a coworker comes to the table with an idea and it sucks?

- I explain why I think the idea is flawed, so we can figure out which one of us is missing something and what the correct response should be.

23. What does the first amendment mean to you?

- The First Amendment protects our God-given rights from government intrusion. As a restriction on government, it is as nearly absolute as the Second Amendment. However, the First Amendment does not convey protection from the natural, private consequences of actions. Anyone who insults our flag, our anthem, our military, our ancestors, and our country while on the job deserves to lose that job.

24. What does faith mean to you?

- Faith is my trust in God. Faith is another absolute. I will not do anything that violates my faith.

25. Who is your role model and why?

- There are many good answers here, including Ronald Reagan and John Wayne.

26. “You’re in Starbucks with two friends. Someone runs in and says someone is coming in with a gun in 15 seconds to shoot patrons. They offer you a gun. Do you take it? What do you do next?”

- Why would I take their gun when I know mine is sighted in accurately?

27. What does America mean to you?

- America is an idea that we the people can make our own individual decisions on how to live our lives. America is a land of opportunity and a beacon of hope to the world.

28. You see someone stepping on an American flag. What do you do?

- I don’t stop that person from “expressing” himself, if it is his flag. I do remember for life that this is a person who has contempt for freedom, opportunity, and prosperity. I permanently cut off all personal and business ties with that person.

29. What does “privilege” mean to you?

- “Privilege” is one of the many words hijacked by the malignant left. It means whatever is politically convenient for America’s enemies, which means it has no meaning other than as a red flag that decent people should watch out for the person speaking that word.

30. What’s more important? Book smarts or street smarts? Why?

- Book smarts are an essential foundation for many jobs. Once someone has enough book smarts to do the job at all, street smarts are the key determinant of how reliably and how well they will actually get the job done.

My answers:

Thank you for taking the time to respond but really I was more looking for his answers. Some of his questions seem geared to weed out people looking for decent compensation than snowflakes.
