After a brief lull, the hot summertime trend of protesting politicians over dinner is back in full force. Last night, a group of protesters tracked down Senator Ted Cruz and his wife at an Italian spot in D.C. and confronted him over Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court until the senator was forced to leave.
The restaurant in question has been identified as Fiola, an exceedingly pricey restaurant, which Washington Post restaurant critic Tom Sietsema has called “the most glamorous place in the city to twirl pasta.” But conservatives and supporters of Senator Cruz don’t feel the same way apparently, and have taken to Fiola’s Yelp page to voice their displeasure with a string of one-star reviews.

someone in the restaurant, possibly staff, tipped off the leftist brownshirts he was there.
And then the restaurant did nothing to protect him - the let these dangerous people carry on.

Sounds like Cruz was attacked and people are complaining about the disgraceful actions of the restaurant manager.

I agree. The restaurant management made a conscious decision to forego their clientele’s comfort and safety. They do not deserve to be open. At some point, someone is going to be hurt in a restaurant and the said restaurant is going to bite a really big bullet.
They let Cruz get attacked, now they’re getting attacked and they don’t like it.

A reasonable question is:
How did the ‘Rat-fa’s know to go too this restaurant at this time?
Were some of the restaurant staff in collusion?
Didn’t one of the employees try to get the mob to leave?
Cruz probably made a reservation so it was easy for slimeball staff to tip off these antifa clones

I would characterize it as a reckoning. And, there’s a reckoning coming no doubt about it. And, these leftist college pukes won’t like it when it happens.
I understand the passion regarding protecting our own against the liberal masses......
Restaurants aren’t set up to deal with protesters.....
They will ask them to leave politely then call the cops to handle it....
We don’t know if they did this.....
If they truly did nothing.... then they should be rebuked....

Cruz chose to let them run him off. A “man” could have chosen to arrange for transportation for his wife, then returned to the restaurant and finished his meal, regardless of how many idiots were yelling in if face. He could have turned on his phone and recorded them just so he could relive the moment the owners and other patrons finally had enough and had the police remove them. He could have enjoyed a nice dessert or appertif.
I understand Kellaynne or Sarah Sanders choosing to leave, and I understand Cruz not wanting to subject his wife to this crap. But he came off looking like a wuss and gave teh protesters a big victory.
