GOP Must Confirm Kavanaugh or Kiss Midterms Goodbye
Rushlimbaugh.com ^ | 24sep18 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 09/25/2018 2:49:29 AM PDT by vannrox

RUSH: So Chairman Grassley has a job to do here, because, if he gives Democrats enough time, they’ll produce a woman claiming to be Kavanaugh’s secret Russian wife who Trump paid to urinate on that bed in Moscow. If Grassley waits long enough, the Democrats will come up with the woman claiming to be Kavanaugh’s secret Russian wife. — he’s a bigamist, too, don’t you know — and Trump paid Kavanaugh’s second wife to hire a bunch of prostitutes to urinate on the bed Obama slept in while in Moscow.

If Grassley doesn’t get a handle on this and just do — and I’ll tell you something else, which everybody also knows. If the Republicans do not get this vote taken and have Kavanaugh confirmed, you can kiss the midterms goodbye. You can kiss goodbye holding the House and you can kiss goodbye holding the Senate. Because whatever the Democrats think of their base, the one thing I know that if you guys fold on this and cave and keep bending over backwards… You’ve done that enough. You’ve demonstrated that you don’t hate women.

You’ve demonstrated that you’re open minded. You’ve demonstrated that you’re gonna hear from her. You’re never gonna hear from her! She’s never gonna show up. She’s not telling a story that can be verified, Senator Grassley. She’s not gonna show up. If you guys don’t conduct this vote in defiance of all this and if Avenatti gets one foot in the door to a Senate committee to start telling his story, then you can kind of kiss good-bye Republican chances in the midterms in November. Because people are gonna logically say, “What good does it do?”

It's just more same-oh-same-oh from the RNC. They are no longer worth our time.

I’m not sure. With all the RINO’s still hanging around, it may take one more red wave to get enough people in there who can outweigh the ones (Flake, Collins, etc) who can log jam the entire agenda. M2C.

That reasoning doesn't work. Sasse is a perfect example. He campaigned as a total conservative, and now often is with the anti-Trumpers. We have to hold the Republicans already there accountable. They weirdly think that if they play along, FemNazis and their enablers will vote for them.

Vote now. Let's say the confirmation has already been nixed because the idiots in charge fell for the stall tactics being used to gin up opposition to Kavanaugh. The vote is what could save the US Senate for the 'pubs. Think about states such as West Virginia, Indiana, Missouri. Dems stand a real good chance of losing them because of decent undecideds who are fed up with the circus that dems are making of this. Undecideds won't vote 'pubs if they keep folding on issues that matter.

Unless it’s spun correctly. That’s all I’m saying.

In the end I have some faith in Grassley and McConnell. Say whatever else you want, but Mitch kept Garland from being confirmed and got Gorsuch onto the court.

Don’t tell the GOPe/RNC leadership that!

We’ll never get Kavanaugh.

Hell, they want to lose in November.

The greatest danger to MAGA are treacherous neutered RINOs.

It’s all about the votes. One person stands firm. Collins says EVERYONE has to testify under oath.

There is strength in numbers and a one vote majority isn’t enough. It isn’t fair to blame the entire conference for the actions of one senator and that is most likely what is happening.

McConnell saved us from Merrick Garland and it is difficult to see how or why he would change now to keep Kavanaugh off the bench. The same goes for Grassley. He has done a good job of pushing through Trump’s nominees for the Federal courts and it isn’t his fault that Collins is keeping them from voting.

This is an all out leftist war to stop his appointment. No facts, many smears to damage credibility.

Pathetic!

“Because people are gonna logically say, “What good does it do?””

And those same hayseeds will then spend the next few years bitching about the damage the Democrats are doing.

Apparently people on our side aren’t playing with any more of a full deck than the RINOs.

I'm not 100% sure I agree with Rush on this one. I think if Kavanaugh gets "spiked", that they'll be a huge wave of conservative outrage. I think President Trump was the result of that leading edge of "enough is enough".

I also think this might be the reason for the inept handling of this by Senate Republicans. They're trying to figure out whether it's more important to have Kavanaugh on the bench, or martyr him for the mid-terms.

You're reading this wrong. Collins is NOT stopping the vote. She is saying...that these women either have to testify under oath or shut the hell up.

Unless they do, she will vote FOR Kavanaugh.

Conservatives better realize in a big hurry that getting Trump elected was only the first step. It’s going to take many election cycles to make a dent in the swamp and this election cycle is the most critical ever...

We must elect republican majorities in November. This is our last chance to have any hope of voting ourselves out of this mess......

We must elect republican majorities in November.

We have a majority.
We don't need Republicans...they need us.
