I Survived Sexual Assault and I Stand With Brett Kavanaugh
Eagle Action Report ^ | 9/23/2018 | Felicia Tweedy

Posted on 09/23/2018 11:59:08 AM PDT by Abakumov

I'm a woman, a victim of sexual assault and I stand with Brett Kavanaugh.

I am also angry, furious and disgusted at the Democrats, especially Democrat women leaders, for their sickening behavior throughout this confirmation process.

I was assaulted 16 years ago, when I was in college. I remember all the details. I remember what year, what semester, where it happened, even down to what room. If something is serious enough to haunt you for decades, you remember it well....

I’m sorry for what might have happened to Dr. Ford. But as someone who has experienced sexual assault, I have a strong interest in seeking the truth about any such allegations. Just because I’m a woman, and a victim, doesn’t mean that I automatically say, “she’s telling the truth.” And I am insulted by Democrats who can only see through the lens of gender, who think women lack critical thinking, reasoning and the ability to weigh accusations and evidence. I’m definitely not a woman that fits that description, nor do I consider their image of women as “empowering.”

Real empowerment comes from making your own choices. I’m a woman, a victim of sexual assault; I’ve listened, I’ve read, I’ve weighed both sides; and my conclusion is that Brett Kavanaugh deserves to be confirmed, and without delay.

Great article. I heard several women call Rush and say essentially the same thing, they remember ever detail.

“I’m sorry for what might have happened to Dr. FoRd”
I don’t think anything “happened” to Dr. Ford.

Yes what might have happened — or might not

Maybe Dr. Ford (whatever) can't remember because she knows it didn't happen. Or...maybe because she had too much to drink. Or...maybe she has had problems with drugs and/or alcohol and it has ruined her memory.

OR SHE'S JUST A LIAR.

Progressive woman are as devoid of intellectual honesty as progressive men. There is no low they wont stoop to get their war. If any woman that has worn a pussy hat makes any allegation, she should not be believed. In fact the opposite should be the automatic conclusion. These woman are so vile they should be shunned as low life garbage on the order of prostitutes.

I think it happened, but this 'Rat operative was just groping (pun definitely intended) for something to pin on Kav.

Let's keep some perspective here... we're not talking about home runs, nor third base here (which is where the Bent one starts from)... we are talking about a clothed second base. If there was an ump there, he would have called Kav "out", as he really didn't steal second successfully, apparently. Besides, I'd venture that 90% of kids in the 1980's were involved in second base plays by the end of High Screwel days. I know I was in 1970. Come on now... at that age, girls are controlling the bases, and the boys are trying to advance thru them.

I wrote something similar yesterday......that it's like a movie and you see it frame for frame....

I can see the place where it started, know every person involved....not necessarily by name....but enough about him/her that I could track them down. I know how I got there and how I got home. This was an assault....and I got an order of protection for 3 years.

>>I don’t think anything “happened” to Dr. Ford.

I’d bet what was described actually did happen somewhat, though Kavanaugh wasn’t involved and what actually happened was, at worst, consensual, and at best, something she wanted. Like Anita Hill, she is possibly describing real events but lying about how and when they occurred.

At this point, with respect to the mid terms,I believe a great many people underestimate the sheer revulsion which DemonRat tactics are inspiring in people who tend to consider themselves Democrats.

How awful for you. I know several women who were assaulted when they were very young.

I’d say there are 2 factors that are at play with her supposedly not remembering (if in case this story was based on an actual memory of some guys attacking her rather than an outright fabrication, which it may be).

Alcohol, and the fact that it was an “attempted” attack rather than an attack.

A girls who was angry and somewhat scared at something a guy tried to do, and who has had 3+ drinks - would probably just move on and try to learn from that bad experience. Every detail would not be seared in her memory.

If she were traumatized, without a doubt she’d have told the 1 other girl at the party, either then - or later. She’d want that girl to know NEVER to party with those guys again. Also, who gave her a ride home? She would have told them too. Another thought I had is that women tend to shake physically when they are very scared (or are in labor!). Shaking isn’t something you can shake off very easily, and the idea that she just composed herself and acted like nothing happened doesn’t jive with my own experiences at all.

Sorry to hear of your trauma. I learned much more about this than I ever wished to know as a result of my ex-wife’s childhood abuse, which she repressed for a long time. After she finally did seek counseling she described it in those exact words - like watching the scariest horror movie you can imagine in slow motion, over and over again, as if it happened yesterday.

I’m not unsympathetic to Dr. Ford if she experienced something like that, but everything about the way this has been presented goes against everything I have learned and believe to be typically true. And everything about the way Feinstein and the democrats have used this woman reeks of politics.

Possibly. As we all know that some women go forward, and only afterwards feel uncomfortable with what they’ve done and want to take it back.

The fact that not one democrat has stood up and said “enough!”.
.tells you pretty much all you need to know about the “democratic” party.

I would take the word of a prostitute over that of a rabid, commie feminist any day of the week.

Are you familiar with the concept of projection?

People who think Kav probably assaulted Ford because most guys in high school were trying to get to second or third base - they are projecting their own feelings or emotions onto another person. That’s projection.

All evidence indicates that Kavanaugh was not a typical high school grabber.

You are exactly correct. My bad.

I truly do not believe the allegation, just trying to say it is a ubiquitous high screwel thing. Plus, keeping this all in perspective, this amounts to Repubs discussing Kav’s merits, judgeships, rulings and the like, while ‘Rats pull everything down to base sexual krap. Like they have done frequently in the past.

Which is why we as Americans can’t have nice things.

If something happened to her that she didn't want to happen, she shouldn't be blamed for it or blame herself. But if decisions that were made before the event made it more likely to occur, the victim probably should take some responsibility and make better life choices in the future.

Has this creature ever said something like "I regret having gone to that party and made better choices after that"? I do think that part of healing is coming to grips with ones self. This stuff that's going on now (1)is trivializing real victims and (2) is not helpful to women who strive to live normal lives without one incident ruining their lives.

Those are the feelings of millions of Americans, men & women!

Those are the feelings of millions of foreign men and women who are paying attention to this circus called "democracy". Many thanks to McConnell, Ryan, Schumer, & Pelosi.
